Mass Bans

So on one hand I'm glad that the staff is able to make unpopular decisions considering banning popular users. On the other hand, it is very confusing. Shouldn't the appeals not be moved to private forums etc? Shouldn't we be able to understand why some of the bans are happening? Its disconcerting to see all your fave peeps just all banned one day.

 

It really isn't any of our business, if you really want to know, you can just ask the person who got banned.

 

If you really want to know, ask the person who was banned. Syed's dispute is just being discussed. Once we come to a decision, it will be moved back.

You also have to consider the dramatic aspect of things. Say the government let the population in on every single thing involving everything you have an interest in. There could be panic, anarchy, disagreements, arguments and overall chaos. By having a topic of interest moved elsewhere and discussed amongst the "officials" (being staff), we avoid any kind of drama or disagreements that could unfold until after a decision is made. Just makes sense, y'know?
