Tbh most of the xfer guides that are verified are almost exactly the same.....
they need to sort out people who are selling the exact same guide as someone else.

 

I guess you didn't get the gist of what I was saying. Anyone can confirm that a guide works, but only official guide verifiers can actually verify it so that you can be put into the Verified Guides section and be able to put Verified in the title.

 

No. If we fuck up we basically owe everyone that bought the guide under false pretenses.

Personally the only verifiers should be staff members. Don't even dare saying "They spend their time making sure the guide works" They are getting the guide for FREE, allowed to use it when ever they want too. They just can't leak or resell it. I have nothing wrong with this idea though I just think they should give it to trusted members.

 

I honestly don't see a problem with making an official guide verifier rank.

 

Personally, if you want the mods to have a little less time, I'd give the responsibilities to certain, ex-mods/admins, OMM's or UE's.

personally I like the fact that Pen has picked out more people to verify. I hope that these non-staff verifiers will do a better job then some of the staff verifiers that I have seen in the past.

 

I like how a UE suggests that UE's should be able to verify guides.

Anyway, one, quite obviously well thought out choice for a guide verifier, has already been banned, guide verifiers are doing a somewhat important job, please try and pick one that will last more than a few hours/days in the future.

I was simply stating there are other ranked people on the forum, with trust, and could help out others too. Just because I happen to be an UE, I can't suggest idea's for them? The main point in my arguement was to only make the rank available for someone with some means of experience, as I stated OMMs, Ex-admins/mods UE's, generally have trust.


I didn't even say that all UE's/ex admin/mods and OMM's WILL be guide verifiers, I said that give to various people. Personally, I wouldn't want to be a guide verifier. If mods need help I would just prefer people such as UE's, OMM's Ex admins/Mods, rather than someone who has limited trust on the forum. I'm not saying the current verifiers are not trustworthy, infact they are extreamly trusted. It's just for future reference for allowing future guide verifiers I was suggesting.

 

only problem is there he was selling his account on a hacker forum that if someone bought, the purchaser would be a guide verifier, sending files through msn/email back and forth, and could really do some serious damage to a lot of member and cause problems in the long run.

to add to hahanerd's extra notes. we should also look at there activity. if the person is on every couple days, then the person would never be verifying guides. also to not just look at high post counts due to the fact many people should spam there way up, there should also be a join date requirement (at last 6, 8, 10, etc months on sythe) no sure if that's already intact.
