I am nothing more than a figment of anyone's imagination. Except for those people that know me on here.

You have to provide supporting evidence to base an assertion around. You're already assuming that you're right.

Then you're asking for proof to disprove an assertion that is baseless in the first place.

The burden of proof is applicable to positive assertions. There actually isn't much of a difference between this and the god debate.

We all exist in physical reality, although yes I suppose we are all a figment of your imagination, as you do not know us. You can only imagine what we are like, you have not laid eye upon us in person.

 

I've contemplated over this before as well, along with a few other theories such as do I see the same color and items as the person next to me? No one can "prove you wrong" it's all up to yourself on what to believe is true reality, and what is just a figment of your imagination.

 

Is this just a philosophical debate on what reality is?

yeah. i made this thread as a joke and i laughed so hard when i read all of these fat little pseudo intellectual's remarks.

 

I hate when people say this. If I punch you in the face, am I still a "figment of your imagination"? No, I'm a real, physical being like you that just punched a dumbass.

 

You are still maturing perhaps, I get this sometimes too, but I dismiss it of me being ignorant of the world out there. All it really is, is a waste of time thinking about.
