Welcoming back... [Sythe Name] AS R00nscape mod or whatever rank.

Right, personally this is bullshit, it's like promoting someone just to bring them back to Sythe, it's ridiculous, and is out of hand that the admins choose friends to be staff rather than people who deserve it.

In future, make people come back to sythe and EARN their rank than rather using it as a form of payment to rejoin sythe.

 

Who else is capable of being staff then?

 

I agree that it is kind of unfair, but the staff already know what those ex-staff members can do. Better to choose the old and experienced guy than the new one who doesn't know what he's doing, I think.

 

Welcoming back means they were a mod at one point. When you apply for a job, doesn't the hiring manager pick the most experienced?

 

This, they already know the ropes/are more experienced, thus more useful to the team.

It's like a Job, if you worked there before you're more likely to be received again.

 

But you can't put someone as a mod who:

1. Just joined
2. Has problems with another Sythe members
3. Scams
4. Has a bad attitude
5. Isn't worth picking and knows that they won't do good

 

Plus, many mods like to take breaks and when they feel like moderating again, we let them. Normally.

 

Ex-staff are much better choices than bringing in a new person as we know we can trust them and that they know what they're doing.

Of course not. But it's still a bit unfair to see that an ex-mod has come back, posts a few times in some section and gets mod again within a week.

They usually show interest in modding again/request it. If they are not active enough then they will be demoted. It's still much better than picking someone new and hoping that they know what they're doing and wont scam.

I don't care who gets mod, as long as they do their jobs right.

 

Not to mention 75% of the mods on here have to much power and report people left and right for useless reasons especially as much mods report for spam goodness.

 

You're posting bad feedback because they're doing their job? Maybe you should take a minute to read the Sythe rules That way, you won't get banned/infracted for anything you deem "useless".

Oh and sectionals don't have much power. Globals have a bit more. And if any of them abuse that power, it would be taken away, surely.

If you got it once and quit the come back you should get it back. If you have been chosen to be mod for some reason then you should get it back.

 

Better trusting an old mod that done good and was trusted then getting a New one Like "BMTH" who was a ban evader.

Also don't get me wrong there have been some bad mistakes but most of those bad mistakes did end up in a ban.

Sythe Staff dont get paid, so if thats there payment then id say its a good deal.
