Time is 17 minutes off.

Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think it's something on my part.

It's sometimes correct for me, but other times, like now, it's about 15 minutes off.

 

Old news is old.

There were threads about this months ago. If its that much of a problem, too bad.

 

Uh, why do you even look at the time on Sythe? Windows is more reliable.

This has been a problem for a long time. I just ignore it out. It'd be nice if it was changed to suit our real time, but it isn't a big difference if it isn't.

 

Sythe is changing servers in a couple days....? might fix?

 

I don't think it's a matter of reliability. If the post time was accurate, I'd be able to immediately tell how long ago somebody replied (which is really helpful on threads in the black market, etc)

 

Just add +17 minutes. If you can't do that, then just round it off a little. That's what I do. And you don't always have to be so accurate.

 

Yeah, thanks for pointing out the obvious, lol. Anybody can do +17 minutes onto the time, but it's annoying and tedious. Time doesn't seem like a hard thing to fix. Also it may not be important to you but for others it is, so being opinionated on the subject isn't helping anything. If you don't mind the time being off, don't post because your input isn't relevant or productive.

 

VB time is not hard to fix at all. Most likely the software is set to sync with the server time, which is invalid.

I hear within the next few days the server will be upgraded though, so in all honesty it's not the biggest of all deals.

 

Sythe is upgrading servers?! But yes, i've noticed the time difference.

 

I'm continuously hearing rumors, seems by a slipup as there is no announcement, of a new server within the next few days. We'll see?

IDK though, I don't read the announcements...too good for news.

Yes, I think there were server upgrades today as there was massive downtime.

 

turn on thread subscribing in usercp then watch usercp and when someone posts on a thread you have subscribed to then it will show up in the usercp. that way you don't need to check your threads manually.

 

The time is fixed.

 

I don't think it made a difference anyways I always just look at my clock on my laptop...
