Aquatic Ape theory

Just found this. VERY interesting.

 

It explains alot of stuff. Only a few animals can hold their breath, human is one of them. Humans can swim, other apes can't. Our muscles are near to our bones, so we become more streamlined. Other apes muscles are longer, and compared to us, far away from bones.
Humans are almost hairless. Why? It's often thought that the reason is that Africa is so hot ( the first humans came from Africa. ) But no. Hair is only a bad thing if you're a water animal. Hippoes and elephants don't have hair, yet they live in Africa. But they also spend lots of time in water.
Our hair is good for children to hang on it when they are so small that they can't swim.
Also humans are the only kind of apes that actually enjoy being in the water. Swim pools etc.

It's certainly an interesting idea, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to true. I have seen several monkeys swimming in zoos though, I don't think it's true that humans are the only primates to exhibit this behaviour.
