Hello, I've started to collect information on 21.12.2012 a few days ago.
First of all, I DO NOT believe that the whole human race will end, but YES, I do believe that 90% of us will die.
The Planet X, also known as Nibiru goes between the sun and earth. It usually causes water level to rise, and not-so-big things like that. Next time is passes will be around 21.12.2012, and this time it's believed to cause massive crisis on Earth. The reason for that, is that every time is passes, it comes closer to Earth. This time it passes so close, that it's gravity will affect Earth dramatically, there will be floods, hurricanes and earthquakes.
On year 1984 NASA revealed, that they've found Planet X ( Nibiru )
Since that they have been VERY quiet about that. At the moment many different countries are building bunkers, for example: In Norway there is a bunker for 1 Million people inside a mountain. When people ask about it, they just say "to protect people" without further explanation. If NASA have found about Nibiru coming to kill people on Earth, of course they wouldn't tell it to, that would cause world wide panic. There is a recently built seedbank in Svalbard mountains, with seeds from almost every plant on Earth. Why did they build it now? It must've cost hundreds of millions, why now?
It is possible that early passing by Nibiru and it's moon killed the dinosaurs, as one of its moons hitted Earth. It is also possible that it caused Ice Ages, it is ALSO possible that Nibiru coming closer is the reason for global warming, but I do not believe in that.
I think it is clear that NASA and the countries are hiding something. Is it Nibiru, I do not know, it's you choice if you believe in it or not.

What is different about the 10% of people that will survive?

 

Until it happens, I'm not going to jump to any conclusions. I'm not sure whether or not I believe it yet.

 

Why would NASA discover a planet and then 'keep quiet about it'? Moreso, where is the evidence that 'On year 1984 NASA revealed' the existence of this supposed planet?

This is a load of rubbish, plain and simple.

 

I think something is going to happen in 2012. It may not be exactly on that date but probably somewhere 2011-2013. I haven't set my beliefs in what will happen but all I know is that we are going to go into a new age and life will change dramatically.

 

Pure luck. If a meteor hits earth, it's very likely that atleast SOME people will survive, probably not 10%, or even 5, but some.

 

It can be seen from South Pole, if that answers your question.

For the record I was being sarcastic. This thread is a waste of space.

 

This thread is proposing a previously unknown planet which will undoubtedly cause global chaos. But there's no evidence, because 'NASA covered it up'. This is ridiculous.

I would have accepted it as the best explanation to suit the fairly insufficient evidence at hand.

My apologies, because I don't hold a deliberately controversial opinion on every single topic, am I clearly intellectually inferior. I must try harder to not agree with popular opinion in future.

Surely you can see that the subject matter of this thread is, to put it frankly, bullshit. The OP has provided absolutely no backing for his ridiculous claims beyond several utterly ludicrous videos.

What scientific method? The evidence for this supposed planet is non existent. If there was any kind of evidence of it's existence, we could discuss it.

No, I form my own opinions. However, in your eyes they are by default invalid if they are similar to those expressed by the general public.

You bemoan me for holding some populist opinions because I don't think, surely it is logical to assume some will hold a contrarian opinion for the same reason.

What facts of the matter? This thread is based on pure speculation, and in accordance with the scientific method I will dismiss it until some kind of evidence is at hand.

How so? This thread is based on absolutely nothing of merit, and I have addressed it as such.

 

Then go and look, and put this idiotic debate to bed. There's no need to use a telescope either, something this close to the earth is easily visible with the naked eye. It is also geometrically impossible for any object in space to be visible from only one point, in this case the south pole.

It is falsifiable, and I have no doubt that thousands upon thousands of people have searched the sky, with absolutely no tangible result. Therefore, there is no testable evidence.

How is it not? I am skeptical of his claims that there is a previously undiscovered planet, visible to the naked eye, which not only has been missed by four hundred years of astronomy but will also cause 'hurricanes, floods and earthquakes' through unexplained means. Not only that, this planet was discovered in the 1980s. Skepticism is necessary to a point.
