Oh SHEET I got an infraction!?!?!?

Ok I think that all mods should be required to send the auto pm stating that you've received an infraction. Why? If you been infracted 4 times and don't know it then when you get the 5th one and get banned you won't be like "oh shit im temped??"

So in all people should know when they have been infracted. I for one do not look at my profile at all unless I need to.

 

You normally do get an automatic PM, depending on the mod.

 

Which is exactly what he's trying to point out. All moderators should send this Automatic Pm so we have a warning that we've done something wrong.

A couple of months ago I had a situation were I got a Pm from Dalpra saying I got an infraction. I then checked out my profile and saw that I had 3 Infractions without even knowing about it.

You can either go to user cp or go to your profile.

I support this. I got 2 infractions recently and I didn't even know about it.

 

Everytime I do it with an automatic PM, I always get a dispute PM back...

 

Still can't seem to find it.. If i don't have any, will it say "You currently have 0 infractions" or something? I looked through my profile and user cp but i could find anything regarding infractions

 

Then that means you have none. If there are any active/expired/reversed infractions, it should say so

 

Yeah I think it's retarded that the mods can do this. It's like getting a suprized ban. Some people don't even know how to check infractions like the poster above which is a major inconvenience.

 

And the people that don't know how to check their profile. i.e poster above?

 

I know how to check my profile, i just didnt know where to look for infractions, since i have never gotten any on any forum..

 

I've gotten 4 before and never gotten a PM...

 

As Syed has said, I get too many replies also. People bitching about their infractions and how unfair it is. So I gave up, people should be able to check it themselves- I know that I FREQUENTLY visit my own profile... it's just a good habit to have.

 

3 infractions....zero pms...not big deal...
