[Denied] Change to MoTm voting

Hi,

I feel there should be some changes to who can vote on who when it comes to MoTm.

Lately there has been quite some od voting in terms of; providers voting for a staff of their discord, voting for family members etc. I mean ofcource you want them to win - Same goes for someone i am "sponsored by" aka, renting my signature etc.

In my eyes, it just makes it all so easy to stage, rig and honestly it looks so strange and i feel it takes the point away from a MoTm as we all can rig it.

I know Dario good enough to use them as example; Dario should never be allowed to vote for Niki. It is just not natural at all.

I'll also call it out before anyone else do and it's not hate, it just dosn't feel OK to do so, even though @ChellBell is extremely active both on forums and discord, @Worthy Services should not be allowed to cast that vote. The community should and in terms of activity, she does deserve it, just not Worthy taking the lead. It's wrong and looks weird.

This current vote could end up in a "mess" even though @MAGZ is elite. In terms of 2-3-4-5 people changing/might change it due to reasons i mention above.

Aka:
Cannot vote for family.
Cannot vote for staff of your own discord/partner etc.
Cannot vote for some provider paying to rent your sig etc.
Cannot recieve a vote from someone having your banners.

Just my two cents.

 

Cannot vote for family is already a thing since they share IP’s. As for the other reasons; CDT has their own voting after the public voting in which such situations usually are taken in consideration (aslong as they are aware of it). I guess there’s no need for even stricter ruling, there’s already not many people voting.

 

If you read the rules, the final say falls to cdt and they pick from the top 5 lol.

Whole thread seems pretty pointless lmao.

Also, you shouldnt be allowed to vote for members who were staff and literally got demoted for being corrupt and and abusing their powers within a year of said demotion. It's 2022, lets stop normalizing corruption even if you are butt buddies with said person.

 

So, stop doing it? People just follow whoever posts first and you know it, thats why you keep doing it.

No need to have rules that don't get enforced.

No need to get salty, both of you.

 

Especially when said member has not been active on the forums, or even in the discord server LOL.

 

I will add that the times Worthy has decided to vote for me, I’ve expressed to him that I wish he wouldn’t have. Because you’re right, if Dario voted for Niki, it would look sus to me. I don’t want to have that image.

Also the one time I received many votes, I even ask @Pikachu to delete them all because I didn’t feel as though I was deserving of them.

So honestly I don’t see anything wrong with your suggestion. However I believe the current guidelines that staff have in place for picking a winner, would prevent weird situations happening

 

I do believe you are deserving of them seing you both of forums and discord, just not the way it was presented, wasn't it for the vote you probably would had mine.

I don't often comment or write, but i do look around and i see your positivty and activity.

But seing how your man handles this thread it all just makes more sense.

 

I think it should be a thing.

I understand it's just a rank etc, but voting because "you're dating" or whatever is just dog shit and devalues the whole idea of ranks to begin with. I did say it before as it isn't just the two examples you used but it is the same thing for many others, and in the end makes people stay less active and not really engage with the community because of silly stuff like this.

Because that’s not the case. He votes for me for other reasons.
The issue is, how it’s may appear to other people.

And yes, a lot like many things dario etc (which you pointed out yourself, is conflict of interest) it does seem that way.

 

Although I support this, I don't think there's been many (if any) instances of MotM being "stolen" by someone getting their butt buddies to vote for them. AFAIK all the votes I've been take place have had the most helpful, most community involved member win. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

 

Can't we remove the non-genuine once then? Makes it looks foolish or enforce infragments on who does and remove their post.

I'd be fine with that, seing the current vote and previous one.

Aka, if Dario vote for Niki in the thread, remove it. Worthy vote for Bell, remove it. No mather how we look at it, it influences other votes.

I wouldn't really want more rules but, better than having joke votes all over the thread.

 

Motm is trash anyway imo.

Would rather have something similar for discord where people could vote any time for anyone once a month, and top 1 maintains a special rank.

 

MOTM is pre much just same ppls circle jerking off each other so no idea why would you want to implement some changes and make their life harder !
