My Suggestions (vote 4/against)

So, if you'd like input in this thread, please state the #'s you're interested in seeing go far. NOT TO BE A BURDEN, BUT I SEE MANY PEOPLE THAT COULD HAVE VALUABLE INPUT INTO THIS VIEWING, THEN LEAVING. Please put towards this, it may not be at the present moment.. but this could be amazing opportunities for sythe.

Problem/Bug #1-Rstrainers Advert

This Ad, although it is nothing HUGE Re-centers my page and makes it so that everything is cramped in the middle of the screen. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but the scroll bar goes completely to the right, and i can't read many of the thread names until i click them, and/or scroll over the complete way.

If this is a simple bug.. please tell me. Or if anyone else has this problem, support if you don't mind.

Problem #2- Donations
Yet again, not a huge problem.. but i believe there is a way to get around the whole "no Paypal™" scheme. This may be a terrible idea, then again it may be a great help.

There is the threat currently, taking money straight from the user's main
Paypal™, i thought of a simple solution.
This does involve personal donations, but it will increase donations and possibly more activity.

People can make a secondary, CANADIAN paypal.. which is un-verified but it DOES NOT have a sending limit. Send the exact amount + tax from your main paypal to the mm/bogus paypal. Hand the 2ndary paypal to the Donations rep. he will then send the cash to the donations Paypal account. Once this is done, you can close the 2ndary paypal. By closing it, there will be no chances of charge-backs or limitations.

With this in effect, i can easily donate $200/2week/month.

Problem #3- Locking "Vic"

I've had two confrontations with ""Vic"" which have been very depressing. He was in-active for 5 months, about 1-2 weeks ago when i checked and had the conversation with "him" and i beleive he has been hacked. Whoever operates [email protected], has been extremely rude and openly admits to scams. He tried to pressure me into a trade and openly admitted to scamming after i denied. Said he was fake. The emails match identically. I'll try to get pics/video and pressure him into admitting it again.

I'd have to say.. lately it has been a hastle to try to find an OMM. I suggest either demotions of current omms and promotions of new OMM's or getting the current ones to be more actively involved in the buying/selling sections. I don't believe it should be needed to have to search an OMM out for hours/days for a simple trade. Make a "req an OMM" section may be a VERY helpful addition. Due to my join date, i get people asking if i know any of the OMMs on msn, but i personally do not. I believe this would be helpful aswell ^.-
MANY MORE WILL BE POSTED SOON/EDITED INTO THIS. These are just personal irritations that i believe could benefit the community.

 

I think the advert is just a bug. I don't see it.

I agree with the Paypal thing, but I also think if it's a legitimate payer, they wont have a problem using WU, or whatever it is that's accepted.

Agreed, there are options of WU. But many people are dealing with online sales only here and much of the community is below the age of 18, not that it matters.. but much of the money exchanged is virtual only. With this, it can be exchanged for something useful to make the forums more bold.. which could include more Adverts of this site on others.

BMTH got banned for scamming by doing this, he got in too deep. This would get rid of that, and increase donations. The forum could also upgrade, i read something about there was a new VBulletins setup that is highly rated. If this did happen i could put in over $200/2weeks to help out the forums.

 

The ad is not that big of a deal. And regarding the paypal, Spyike has set up a paypal donation thread which has been very successful.

 

Thanks for the input. But i believe profits will increase greatly with my idea. Some will, indeed send it to a separate party to be sent via mail, but many also will not. Personally, i make a good income and could contribute Thousands per year.

 

Spyike already has it on lockdown. He sends a few 100 dollars to mathew, and as soon as someone donates paypal to Spyike, he tells mathew. I got my rank within 10 hours of donating.

 

Well, i just don't believe he could take the potential investments myself, and a few others could put forward. I highly doubt he will put out $200-600/month for a single person. Let alone the hundreds of others that could pay via my method. It's Full-proof from my perspective, the Donation section users will be locking the paypal accounts themselves. Whilst doing so, the accounts will be in-accessible. Once they are closed, you cannot even log in to them.

 

From what I know he has a grand with Matthew.

 

Believe he keeps about $500 stocked with him. And he owns and runs his own restaurant chain, pretty sure he has plenty of resources to continue doing what he has been doing lol

 

And he uses his money to help people donate to a Runescape based forum..

What a winner, really.

Why not... go on vacation, have fun, do something productive.

i've asked Matthew something about it, awaiting a response. Also.. it's helpful, but i do believe what i have stated could be another branch of producing money. This sounds absurd, but i could personally run it. Not have access to the sythe.org paypal itself, but login to the 2ndarys. I know it sounds insane, but i'd be more than willing, including proving myself to fit it. I know there are alternatives to the idea, but it's just a concept worth looking into for more profit gain.

 

Who are you to question what someone else does with their money?

If you pm him, asking why, i'm sure you will get a decent reply.

As for the topic, PayPal is too easy to chargeback on IMO.
If you want to donate, I highly suggest Spyike's service.

 

He doesn't make posts about how jacked up your face looks, so I don't see why its needed that you flame him for no reason.

TBH, it has been very clearly proven that Spyike has the thing under control, and at this point it just seems like your trying to get recognition for wanting to run something. No need to fix something that isn't broken.

 

Did i ever demand to run it? I'm saying, Matthew surely has his hands full.. i could help out after i donated, say.. $1,000. I'm sure i could handle it aswell, but i don't send cash via mail/check.

Also, i never troll'd on Spyike, i already sent him a PM to send him $200 tonight, if he gets on.

 

I see that Spyike is going to be the next mod, has half the kiddies riding his dick.

 

In support of his post. I did in fact receive a $280 donation from Reeses, however I also received an email immediatly following from PayPal that there is a hold on your unverified account. Will send his money forward after PayPal clears your donation. Lastly, for all those who wonder.. I currently have about $1200 with Matt for future donations.

 

Charlie thanks for taking the time to post your stupid opinion reference myself.. First of all I'm gonna assume based upon your post you're still are a "child"? What do you think about people posting comments/opinions when they have no clue what they're talking about? Yeah, me to.. They're just fucking stupid. Now to enlighten you, I spend about 10-months a year living in a place you don't just run outside to "Play". My limited free time I select to enjoy RS and Sythe which is again, none of your business. This seems very long winded, and Spyikes method seems alot more efficient. Again, why fix something that isn't broken?
