Is this worth it?

Hey guys, I'm just making this thread to ask a simple question ...

Is it worth it?

I would like to know how fun it is, rating out of 10, etc, etc. I've played the Trial once or twice but that doesn't let me know shit about the game.

Please answer honestly because I'm not going to pay £10 a month for balls.

 

Nobody can tell it to you, trial gives a small hint so if you enjoyed trial even a bit i suggest getting it.

 

If you enjoyed the trial, you will enjoy the game.

What do you prefer?

PVP (killing other players of the opposite faction) or

PVE ( Killing NPCS)

Just if you liked the trial, it gets even better

 

It's way better than Runescape if that's what you're asking. Professions are more versatile and are more influencial on the path of your character as well as money making, the world is way bigger, the plot is more intense...I'd like to think it's Runescape times a billion or so. Out of 10, I'd say maybe 9-9.5/10...Like any game there are a few things that they could do better, but overall I personally love it.

 

I would say yes it's worth it and with cata on the horizon it will be getting better.

After reading the updates coming in cata im not sure if its really worth starting playing the game now as alot of improvements are going to be made to leveling up. It is worth £10 a month those yes.

 

Yes. However, it can cause you to become addicted and lose yourself. Lol.

 

Well, I just played trial and it seems slightly tedious doing all the quests I'm not too sure just yet.

 

Trust me.
The higher level quest (IE around 20s) are way more fun then the starting quest.

 

Thats the worst part about the game, leveling. The game really begins when you hit level 80. When you hit 80 you can raid, do arena, grind reps. Its a lot of fun but very time consuming and will become very addictive

 

Anyways, It depends. Coming from runescape, I found that it took me a long time to get used to slower leveling. You can't really grind which pissed me off because I hate quests. You gotta get used to it.

 

I really like World of Warcraft. It gets a lot of crap from people saying that it is addictive. And, yes, it can be, but if you control yourself it won't. Cataclysm is coming soon, and that only gives you more of a reason to start now. If you don't, you have 85 levels later on to get if you start later. Anyway, the choice is ultimately up to you, and there is a class for everyone.

 

I agree, but it the end when you hit 80 and start gearing for raids it makes that month or two you level 1-80 worth it.

If you are afraid of getting addicted to the game don't play because you will.

 

I liked the game, Leveling 1-80 (soon to 85) is alwyas fun if you read the storyline and learn the lore. Once you hit 80 there are so many options It never gets boring.

The only downside is to get the good gear you have to play alot to be in a hardcore content clearing guild. Whereas on RS you can just buy the best stuff.

 

Leveling can get a bit boring and tedious so it's best done with a friend, however, once you hit level 80 the game is extremely fun.

 

Getting geared is indeed a bitch, but enjoyable at times.

 

I want to no the same thing, Is it worth even downloading the 2gb Patches?

 

The game is pretty fun, I guess it depends on the person and what they enjoy. You pretty much do quests and dungeons to level and once you get to level 80 that's where the most fun is because you can do raids and get pvp gear. Leveling up is pretty fun too, you progress and get a lot better attacks. I'd rate it a 9. I'd give it a 10 but world pvp is dead.
