"This attempt has been logged"

Last night I was trying to recover an old account of mine that was stolen. In the process of recovering, I thought "Hmm, I wonder what the recovery questions of a J-mod are.." So I go to the recover page and type in "Mod Dave". I skip the email part and click continue; the next page says something along the following:

You cannot recover staff accounts. "This attempt has been logged."

Am I in trouble... or what?

They'll proberly do nothing, but they might keep an eye out since you were kind of trying to steal someones account.

 

I'm hoping for the 'do nothing'

I'll check this out when im at a friends house who doesn't play. or I'll use a proxy.


They might flag you for trying to steall acc's idk.

 

Doubt they're going to do anything; a lot of people probably have been curious and have done what you just did.

 

many people try this i guess.
they won't do anything to you.
it's just they did this else they recieve massive recovers for accounts.
so they try to get as less un-needed as possible.

 

It's like alot of websites that say "this has been logged" or "the police are now on the way" It's likely just to scare you off.

They can't just ban you because you did that besides mod accounts arn't able to login unless at jagex studios or you could find out their ip and use a proxy.

Don't ask if I would go onto sites that say those things, I don't I just know these things.

I tried this a few months back. Nothing happened.

 

Don't worry, they wont do anything. My friend had gotten this a few times because he does something unmentionable. Nothing happened to him =P

 

I doubt they will actually do anything. Might watch your appeals for a little bit to see who you're trying to recover, but nothing major.

and no, you probably not gonna get in trouble. jagex probably put that there to get people to react just like you did, knowing that a lot of people have/will try.
