Thats what i do, all they sell in the vending machines is junkfood. I just bring some fruit or a oats and honey bar and eat that instead, saves me money and is healthier

The ones in my high school are all shitty brands of chips or cookies that I've never heard of before.

At my school, There used to be Soda...(till like 2 or 3 years ago )
and now they use the soda machine for water/juice
and Have a gatorade Vending machine :D
I just go to Sam's club and buy a box of Gatorade....Way cheaper than paying 1.50 every time...
    its like, 52 bottles for around 30$. ( I think xD )
and at school its 1.50$ ea :(
:p I usually buy shit from stores and bring em to school...Unless I don't have anything, then I just waste my cash on the vending machines...

At my school they turn off the soda/candy vending machines till after school.

Usually its 50 cents-$1.25 for some crappy snacks.

Ironically, there is a super market, 7/11, pizza hut, dominos, and subway next to the school with food that is much more worth it.

I've actually never been to school(I was homeschooled all my life), but I don't see how this could possibly be a problem? If people want snacks/drinks, and have the money for it, then I don't see why not.

When I went to the highschool next to my house they had to get security guards to keep people from buying shit.

    I lol'ed.

I don't really mind them but then again we don't have any at our school so I'm not use to them being there.

Not a bad idea if you want a snack or a drink tbh.

I stopped asking myself why they do this kind of stuff like 7 months ago when I moved here.

Yea we got them at my school, really over priced but if your really thirsty or hungry then its usually the only option. We have KFC, Nandos, frankie and benny's and all that near my school anyway.

I bring my own pack lunch in, so it doesn't affect me our machines are full of junk aswell :D

I'll probably miss it when I go to, military college in 3 weeks.

We don't even have those in my school. Man, what's up with American schools? Do you really have to eat all the time? >_>

Anyways, we just go to the store or something in the breaks once in a while.

At my school, the only vending machine we have is one that has Propel and a couple diet drinks.

We don't have any vending machines for snacks. To me, I think they can be a disturbance in the whole school environment. People waiting in line for a snack, being late to class, overpaying, etc.

I think they're good. Your school profits off them, and it allows people who enjoy pumping themselves with tasty calories, while gaining no real nutritional value and to be hungry in the next 30 minutes again, to do exactly that.

I buy from them every once in awhile, I don't mind the prices. A decent-sized bag of chips is only 50¢ at my school. Some are 75¢ but no-one buys those anyway. And you can get a drink for $1.25, I actually think the prices are pretty nice. Which is why I'm more pushed to buy stuff from them.

Well, we have 1 at our college, and I don't see anything wrong with them. If people really want a chocolate bar, or a packet of crisps then they will go to the shop. I think it's just easier if there is a vending machine local.

We have vending machines in my college. One with healthy snacks such as sandwiches, museli bars or whatever and yogurts. The other one has chocolate bars.

We also have drinks machines selling coke, fanta, sprite and cherry coke.
If you're lucky they might have Dr. Pepper in stock.

We also have a cafe at the end of the corridor selling pot noodles and other snacks. Cakes, flapjacks, crisps, lasagne, jacket potato's, bacon bites, pasties.

This is all in one room, where everyone meets up during breaks, and it gets pretty chaotic.

I love the drinks machines but other than that, I wouldn't care much if they dissapeared one day.

Ironic how schools try and pull fatty snacks out of snack bars and add diet sodas, yet my school has ice cream machines and vending machines with terrible food for your health.

That's awesome. I'd kill to have that stuff at my school, I'm constantly eating. Thank God for my metabolism or I'd be SOO f..king fat, but I'm actually really skinny. I guess 'cause I don't eat a lot of junk food, more like hotdogs and burgers and noodles and chicken, etc., etc. o_O
