I'm an active pin seller and I am often asked what '6 month' and '3 minute' pins are, so I'm just requesting this sticky to be made in the Buying and Selling section of the membership forums:

Thanks, all suggestions/revisions will be considered.

Aussie PBP pins can give 28 - 36 days.

I think that this site itself wants nothing to do with pinlines, and if you explain what they are in a sticky, it might spark interest on where you obtain them, how you use, etc.

Sin, it's a pretty well known fact that most, if not all, pin sellers that have Aus PBP pins obtained those pins from pinlines.

I use USA SMS pins. They are legit 6 month. Sometimes they give 24 or 25 days though. Idk why.. :/

BTW it should be against the rules to sell aus pbp pis. The vast majority of them are illegally obtained.

That's nice. We still don't allow it, and if you have proof that these sellers are using said methods, they will receive bans.

It is against the rules to use any ********. Unless you're using your own phone line or have permission to place the charges to someone else's phone, the pin is considered to be illegally obtained and cannot be sold here. At least as ********s have been described to me, I don't see how any of them could be considered 'legit'.

    Or they're Australian, either way.

But prove that they're doing it and they'll get a ban.

Backstab, you're just saying that for your own profit lol.

Majority of Sythe users are buying pins from people with pinlines. And, of course, pinlines (from my knowledge) are all from Australia.

And Sin, how exactly is it against the rules? Based on what I know, I thought you just can't sell pinlines here.

Also, if it weren't for pinlines and other various pin exploits, there wouldn't be any other way of getting membership for cheaper.

    Haha, I think it's like this :

If you "steal" something, say an ipod, and you sell it, would you consider that legal to happen on sythe?

Pinline pins are like "stolen" pins and you shouldn't be able to sell "stolen" goods here...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you also have a pin shop? And don't you buy bulk pins from sellers who use pinlines to obtain their pins? And don't you sell them at a price for your profit?

You just bought stolen pins and now your reselling them.

    3. No.

EDIT: get on msn and we'll talk it out there, I don't want to spam up this thread.

    Your own way you say..

The only way to get "legal" pins is to purchase them directly from the Runescape site.. basically every other way is either a pinline or a scamming/stealing method.

Syed just agreed with that statment and all of his pins are aussie pbp. o_O

I'm pretty sure that 95% if not more of all pins sold on sythe are obtained via a pinline. I mean... surely, nobody would charge $10 to their cellphone and sell those pins online for $3.50, would they?

99% of all pins are Austrailan PBP, at least the ones sold here on Sythe. I honestly don't see a problem in this, because if you think that selling membership pins are stealing/illegal, then there's basically no point in a membership section...

Yes, and that's entirely because they all come from ********s (including the ones you sell in your own shop). I personally don't see a problem with it, and don't really care if the pins I buy are from ********s, or not.

    Yeah, I don't have a problem either. :p

The pins I sell at my own shop, are of course, Australian PBP. I don't necessarily get what the big fuss is.

This is not a debate over whether ******** pins should be allowed or not. As the rules are, any illegal/stolen item (pins included) cannot be sold here. Thus, unless Sythe decides to make an exception, any reports about ******** pins will be dealt with as per the existing rules.

Since there is therefore no point in a sticky distinguishing one disallowed pin type from another, this suggestion is closed.
