That's an opinion not a fact. You might also take into consideration that those two died because of Rap.

Also, they are a lot better than the current junk we call rappers.

 

No, Lil Wayne isn't garbage, he's just confused on what he is. He is def. NOT a rapper. Of course he was good back in the day, but he was slowly coming out of the closet. If you listen to any of his songs from Rebirth (his new album) you will know that Lil Wayne is better off in a boy band then in the hip/hop-rap mainstream genre. Of course, I don't hate on his old shit but blahh to his newer stuff.

I tend to like Tech N9ne who's very under rated but spits like a beast.
And The Game who is just as raw in some of his songs as Dre was back in the day.

My only problem is that you don't give credit to people like Pac, Snoop, Eazy, etc. You sit there and rep EM and no-one else (Other than his little friends).

Oh and for the record, Eazy > Dre, Snoop > Drake, Biggie > T.I, Nas > Jay-Z, Big-L > Kid Cudi, and most importantly Pac > Eminem.

Throw Rakim, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Hussein Fatal, Bone-thugs in there and Eminems crew isn't looking too good.

 

Guys, get some real rappers in your list. Lil Wayne? Kanye? They aren't rappers. Fuck. I don't even listen to rap, yet i know good rap when i hear it.

Wrong. In threads such as "Favorite Rapper", I name my favorite rapper, Eminem. I don't go on and list every member of shady/aftermath.

Also, you still don't understand what I'm saying. I went through a Tupac stage where I thought he was the shit. But as I'm sure you know already, 'Pac was a political rapper. His biggest hits were talking about how blacks are a minority or about his gun or his so-predictable death. I've never said 'Pas isn't or wasn't good.

Eminem isn't a major political rapper, he's more of an overall musical entertainer. Some of his biggest hits are about nothing but celebrities flaws and weaknesses. This shit's funny to me and a whole lot of other people according to the charts. But then on the other side, he drops songs that just pump you up, Lose Yourself being the best example.

In all of his many styles, his lyrical ability is way beyond anything 'Pac had the chance to create. God knows how good 'Pac COULD have been.

Eminem is a great rapper.

Now, onto other artists. It's all an opinion, as we've discussed many-a times. Personally, I don't think Snoop Dogg is very good. He's not on par with Soulja Boy or anything, he just doesn't stand out to me. Nas hasn't dropped anything in like 2 years. Eazy-E was all over the place, he had some decent songs, but had some terrible songs.

I like the Biggie songs that I heard and I'm not a huge fan of Drakes. Kid Cudi's best song is The Prayer, his other are a bit off.

While we're on it, Obie Trice has great lyrical ability. The Game is a good rapper, but his whole beef with someone one day then become friends the next is a piss off. 50 Cent's old shit was awesome, he's fallen off. Shit, even Kuniva from D12 is a great rapper. D12 as a group can't produce hits without Eminem there, people aren't looking for it,

We can go tic for tac about Eminem and Pac all day. You seem to think I don't like him? I like Pac. Eminem's my favorite. I listen to all sorts of rap and I hit up rapbasement everyday to see what's out. No one else is bringing anything that appeals to me. I'm all about lyrics, complexity and delivery. If they don't have it, I'm not into it. Doesn't mean they are bad, it's just not for me.
