Removal of autobumpers (again).

Autobumping has been personally permitted by Richard himself.

Unless i'm mistaken, no circumstances have changed since Richard ruled it so.

People have invested time and money into autobumping. Be it through building autobumpers, purchasing and setting up said autobumpers, investing into vps's, donating for the perk etc etc.

There are investments here that people have made because of the ruling on autobumpers being permitted.

Its quite unfair to take that away from these people now.

I think removing autobumpers would be better for the community, but it isn't going to happen.

 

Oh no, I wasted a whole 2 minutes of my life bumping threads...

I mean, I can understand why people would want the auto bumper as I said before, especially if you have paid $300 just to use it. I do however feel a bit on the fence still, as realistically donation ranks, should be "donations" not "oh you can receive X-perk" because that's although incentive to do it and upgrade if you have the money spare, not the right way around it

Very short sighted to think people will ever go back to manually bumping. Regressive design is very rarely effective and if you think there exists a problem in the market you should look at how you can make the market more effective to the community. The SEO argument is bs and I imagine you know that

if any mod wants to comment on it, aren't we meant to be online in order to autobump?

 

TBH I support the removal of autobumper because I'm so sick of seeing
[30000+ VOUCHES][TRUSTED] BUYING PMOD ACCOUNT with 3930492+ posts and they are all bumps and have been bumped every 24h since 2017

 

The only sufficient solution (like Ownedcore):



Give Sythe Gold some usage, implement bump buttons to the system and make it so people either have to manually press the Free Bump button every X hours, or they can buy an automatic bump with Sythe Gold. Sure people can make autobumpers for this too, but forbid the usage and sale of those and implement punishment once usage is discovered.

 

Whilst a good idea, and it actually gives Sythe Gold some use, theres a couple of issues.

1) autobumper.io • Bump your forum threads and topics exists/
2) those who sell auto bumpers would remake it to bump from your browser session, as if you were posting manually.
