You can be arrested for watching certain videos, so I guess it makes sense that you can be arrested for listening to certain music.

My friend got a ticket yesterday for loud music. We were in a park playing hockey in the parking lot with his car on + subs blasting...at first my friend was being nice but when he actually wrote the ticket and gave it to him he was like 'fuck off, you're a worthless shit head.'

 

Because blaring music in a public place has never been illegal >.>

They have the grounds. You get a detention in school for singing that or saying that, let alone blaring it out to the public.

He shouldn't be fined, but a warning would be appropriate.

 

To be honest, wouldn't mind the music, i'd take a peak at the window, be like ok... but i would of arrested it for how it looks... could of been a threat to society, couldn't tell if it was male or female.

I can see where the cop is coming from. If I were a mom and was walking to a store with my 6 year old, I wouldn't want him to listen to music like that, especially at such a young age. The kid didn't need to mouth off either, he probably would have gotten a ticket or something otherwise.

And also we would have to know how loud it was, and, as eric said, how did he answer to the cops.

 

Loud abusive music would be acceptable because you don't wanne go into the street and hear that, especially if there is kids around. But generall music, the cop is just being a pest.

Well It's obvious the music has a parental advisory which means it's only legal for 17-18+ and it's obvious he had his music up pretty damn loud for some cops to hear him in there own vehicle which means other people could hear it. This is a completely justifiable arrest maybe he should have his mommy invest in a pair of headphones for him.

 

I think the officer was just bored...

 

Apparently the cops put their head through his car window to hear it, so i doubt it was up really loud, otherwise that would not be necessary.

Also, his mother was there and didn't seem to mind it, so it can't be that offensive to women?

I am quite sure he will not be charged.
