Plenty of Greek names, it seems. I stole one that isn't necessarily rare, but 3 letters, and very fitting.

 

A mate of mine pinched Xia just now.

Everyones gobbling up the names, theres a few wicked ones on hiscores.

This just goes to show you how unprofessional Jagex are. You just don't delete someones inactive account, sure people were abusing their system by recovering names that were not there's, but shit, they shouldn't have a flawed system and maybe should actually read the appeals. I have been trying to get my OWN account unlocked with the CORRECT information and they keep denying it time and time again. But yet I know people who recover names with all bullshit information and they accept them? What the fuck?

However, I don't think the rare name market when to shit because... one, all the "new rare names" are taken, and that is just the display name. Second, those were just the inactive accounts, if there are people like me, which I'm sure there are, they still have rare name accounts.

Gayest update ever. Any account never logged into before's name is now available. Jagex did this because people were recovering accounts for their names. Say I made an account that had its name stolen from it today and I wanted to login. I would have to change it. All complain on forums. Even though many players will just say "Noooo keep it i like my stolen name :3", won't achieve anything. I'd say about 3000 "rare" names are now available. The price will drastically drop on rare names. So yeah, your fucked, i'm fucked, everyone in the rare name selling market is FUCKED.

 

which is really fucking retarded and pisses me off. people that still have rare names though can prove they're actually legit rare because there not display names.

Can you get the same name as someone that was banned? Or how does this work?

 

Ive tried a few of my very old banned accounts and had no luck.
