Suggesting to get feedback for denied pardons. Would love to see how I can possibly improve or if it doesn't matter for me at all at this point.

From what I gathered when I was pardoning it's more or less when the staff think it's your time

They can only judge things by how you act on the forums, and act within other sections of the online world. Showing remorse for what you did at the time of you getting banned/dnt is obviously a big part of it in such cases even then it's possible you wont pass

I can give you an example with my stuff that took almost 2 years to clear. This was all stemmed from a 3 second troll that accidentally had someone else's name in it, but ultimately I was the one who put myself in that position and have done more than learned from it moving forward

I cut ties with a lot of old people I was surrounded by, and also made amends with other people I had argued and had drama with in the past. This is just my two cents on how things work and I could be completely wrong

It is very well known some staff will respond to you on discord with feedback though, not as like a "hint" but what they feel went wrong or such in more brief ways. I found that even a simple small talk with someone like @Ember helped me a lot, as it was constructive feedback from a source who had only recently been on the task of dealing with it

I have to agree, with the exception of users that have scammed.

When paying particular attention to the OPs DNT reason, I can't see how this would benefit the wider community.

If a user is DNT'd for a reason such as bad trading practice, I feel like the staff could well look to provide an insight into how their decision could be reversed (whether it's time or good on-going business outside of Sythe).

However, where a user has scammed, the only benefit I see is their return of the scammed amount to the Community Repayment. In extreme circumstances I fail to see how allowing a user to trade again benefits anyone, other than the scammer. Why are they all of a sudden keen to do legit business?

Now I am relatively new to Sythe, however I've been about on similar markets for a stupidly long time, the general rule of thumb was once a scammer always a scammer - many of them would never allow people back into the community at all.

Why can't scammers from years ago come back to do legit business? I've been doing legit business from 2016 onward on different sites and a little on here on my old account "Hellcat". I was in my teens and pre-teens back then man lol. I'm an adult now.. people change.. people grow up. What would I get out of coming back and repaying my victims and spending a year or more to pardon just to scam again? I could just evade like before and continue to scam but I'm not that person anymore. I just buy whatever I want like an adult lol.

I think if users are genuine in their apologies and have shown they have grown from their incident, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to pardon.

Ok so, I don't see what the problem is with adding a couple of lines that summarise the core of the pardon's denial. It saves everyone time and headache, instead of having DNT's chase after mods. It doesn't have to be an essay, just keep it short and real. Something in the sense of "not enough time has passed" or "still not convinced that they'll act faithfully again". Some will say it's superficial, but the bare minimum is always better than nothing IMO.

Most of the time they just need to be on top behaviour and try again in 6 months. If someone really wants feedback or help to try and have a successful pardon they can contact staff directly.

No support, staff would resort to giving the same feedback/reasons every time they deny you, just like they do with staff applications. I’m liking the idea but experience tells me it won’t work out well here. You’re free to ask staff members what they voted for and why though, just like they are free not to disclose their vote.
