Some advice for my new Paladin?

Hey guys, I just made my first pally named Kalnoky on Shadowmoon PvP along with the guild and I need some advice on what to do as a paladin, as in gear, professions, talent, and spells.

 

well you might want to level with a talent tree other than prot, stick with 2h weapons, and mining bs is a pretty good combo

I have a 63 pally that I've been leveling recently

I was in full boa so this may not work for you, but once I got consecrate, all I did was pull all the mobs around me and consecrate. It worked quite well, but I stopped after I got more spells.

 

1. bind one half of keyboard to holy
2. bind the other half to protection/ret
3. Apply face to keyboard.

you will never die and rack up 2000+ arena points.

A good leveling tree is retribution or holy. Good professions are enchant and jewel-crafting. amazon combination.

 

I'd go prot for leveling to be honest, and as any tank you'd need to stack defense rating + stam (mainly) and maybe some spirit so you can spam a few attacks without getting oom. As prot you won't die and will be able to get into instance groups quickly...Holy has the same benefits, except you need to stack intel, spirit and spell power (mainly) and some crit rating could help too.

Prot is decent for leveling but I still always will like Retribution, though I guess it depends on your level.

Paladins are fun at 80 tanking.

 

You should definitely level Ret. Once you can afford Dual Spec get it and be Ret/Prot. Whenever you're bored of questing - you will be... - go tank some dungeons; or, you could go Ret/Holy and, if you're bored, heal instances.
