How far will they rise?

How high do you think Santa Hats and Green H'ween masks will rise before they drop? I have one of each and I'm not sure when I should sell em.

 

They won't be dropping anytime soon. The best way to figure out when an item will begin dropping is when they no longer buy above trade price in w2.

 

Well you never know with santas, as their price is very unstable. I'm suprised greens have shot up as high as they did, but then again pretty much every rare has been on a rapid price rise. I would say keep them for a tiny bit longer.

 

I'm going to guess that they will raise steadily until the new skill comes out. Jagex stated that the new skill incorporates all the non-combat skills which most require a significant amount of money to train. I'm guessing people will be selling rares and high level items to get money to purchase resourses.

 

Even when the new skill comes out I doubt the price will drop, seeing as santas and masks are needed to barter for higher priced items.

 

If the new skill is not a significant money drain like construction, than rares will probably maintain at a stable price for a while. However if the new skill is going to be a money sink, then the gold will deflate and rares would decrease in value.

 

I would keep H'ween mask, untill around October 20th.
And the Santa hat, December 5th.
Merchanters usually dump after this, and people stock up around this time, getting in the theme.

 

You can probably expect another 5-10M out of the green.

H'ween masks are looking very strong right now, and while santas are not looking quite as good, they're still above trade price. Probably fairly safe for the time being.

I know they will not drop unless some big clan buys into them. I suggest holding onto them. If anything they will become rarer which will make the price go way up. As more and more people quit runescape, some of them may have a santa hat or another rare item and just never play again. So therefore it will become rarer and the price will go up, but it may take a while.

 

Don't sell them. They'll be going up forever. They are discontinued.

 

They will always go up. You can keep them for as long as you want because they will always go up as people die(irl), forgot pass's, and people quitting. So you can sell them whenever you want to.

 

Ye they are always going to rise, I expect the santa hat to go to around mid 50-60 mil befor we see the first price drop, and when this happens Im sure alot of people are going to dump in fear of a crash

 

I dont think they will ever drop - Supply will always be around - they wont...

As for santa.. LOOK AT THE GRAPHS!.. It's a forced buyout by merchanters. For christ sake, the graph has no steady path what so ever. It's just going straight up.

FYI, for those of you who don't know how it works.. You DO NOT want an item to do what santa is right now. Example: +1.3M today, +1.4M tomorrow, +1.2M the day after. That is bad news. If they were bought out, that means that the GE wouldn't update every day. BOUGHT OUT means that people ARE NOT selling/buying in the GE.

The best thing you can see is the red mask situation.. Today: +0GP, Tomorrow: +0GP, The day after: +3.1M

Santa is a failure waiting to happen and I feel bad for anyone who will get fucked by the crash.

 

I agree its santa's going to get crashed, wall street style.
I've made around 20M merchanting santas before christmas, like bought at october, so a crash around the next few months will be good for me.
