Day 20 - Day 20 today fellas! It's been a long time since I put in some effort to make it this far, i'm feeling really good. With a bad history of drugs & alchohol and gambling, to have the obsession removed and ability to start enjoying the smaller things in life again really is a blessing.
Just a quick update.. no stopping now! Day at a time.

Day 30 - Hooray, thirty days! Definitely feeling proud of myself thirty days into this journey. Too anyone who may struggle with addiction sometimes even just 1 hour of sobriety is a challenge. Once again, no booze, drugs or gambling for 30 days straight now.
Very grateful that the ball is rolling, must continue to take it a day at a time. A drink or a poor decision is always only an arms length away. The real challenge is just beginning, from my past experience over the years sometimes the longer you are sober the more tempting it may be to relapse... not this time!! <3

Day 38 - Just checking in, day 38 and counting (although I try not too). Doing really good! Still no gambling, drugs or alcohol. There have been some gambling thoughts of course occasionally but I just remind myself of what it does too me. Literally sucks the fun out of all other things and becomes such a top priority, just like the drinking. This is my personal experience, we're all different.
Little under the weather today, seem to have come down with a little flu since I woke up this morning and left work half way in as well. Life's little hurdles. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend regardless! :)

You got this bro, you have already made huge steps in the right direction :) What helped me more than anything else was going to the gym or just lifting weights at home religiously. Put that energy into "healthy addictions" like meditation and working out, maybe pick up a book and try to get into a healthy daily routine. I've been clean and sober for 5 months now, the longest I've ever been in the past 8 years, if I can do it, then anyone can :p

Day 47 - Still at it ! Some days are a little challenging with the thoughts, always got that devil on my shoulder it seems, don't think that will ever go away. Regardless, I have been doing the right things and sticking to the plan, one day at a time. No gambling, drugs or alcohol for 47 days today. I will check back soon, much love !

Bro its so hard to stop gambling. Legit, you have to do so many steps and firstly understand that its a problem.

The way I got around it, I transferred all of my money to another account and closed my coinbase. LEGIT have to fully commit to not gambling or spending money in any way possible

Day 61 - Just over 2 months now. No gambling, drugs or alcohol. Drugs & Alcohol are my real issue, gambling not far behind. I have to accept that I cannot gamble, because for me one thing leads to the other and my sobriety is important. It's not easy though, some days I have that devil on my shoulder telling me that "it's not important, it's time to give up it's been long enough, aren't you getting tired of fighting??"

I visited a good friend of mine since I was younger, the visits are further and further apart unfortunately now. He is a good reminder of what I can be like if I give up. I went over on my dirtbike to ride together on the track and he barely had the energy to ride, he was grumpy like I was bothering him, and needed to get high before anything. It's much different from the outside looking in.. good reminder none the less.

I have tics if anyone knows what that is or has them themselves. It's like little movements that you know you're doing but it's hard to consciously stop yourself from doing them. They come and go but it's been horrible since I got sober this time. My current one that is really weighing some of my days down is like excessive heavy blinking. I'll purposely like blink hard enough where my eyes squint to relieve the tic, sometimes i do it all day basically. It seems like when i'm drunk or high all the time I don't even have them, but that's obviously not the answer, just a hurdle i'm going to have to improve on .. another one of those "see look at you now, blinking, making weird facial movements, just drink, that should help no?"

Anyhow! 2 months in, i'm really proud of myself.

Hope you are better now mate. I feel you a lot, don't want to state the amount of cash I lost to roulette/blackjack/poker, now I won't even bet a penny. It's a total waste to be honest and might just burn the money literally, just think about it like that.
