Battle.net Connection Issues

The CD codes are legit, the previous ones I had gave me errors about them being non-Battle.net valid, but this just has connection errors. So I'm checking here to see if anyone has encountered this and knows how to fix it. The link they provide just says download the update, which I did, and check internet connection, which obviously works since I'm posting here.

 

Your firewall is blocking the connection. Google how to unblock things from your firewall. If that doesn't work, right click the Diablo II program -> Run as Administrator.

Update: Removed McAfee, that didn't work. Running as admin didn't help.

I have Avira, but I can't find any useless information on removing stuff. I also had tried opening the ports that it suggests, but that doesn't help either.

 

What I've done now:

• Opened all the necessary ports (weren't closed).
• Deleted McAfee.
• Ran the program as Admin.
• Added Diablo 2 to Avira Firewall (as allowed and privileged).
• Reset my router.
• Can connect to US East, Asia, but not US West (where I'm trying to play with friends).
  

Suggestions now?

 

You still haven't done what I suggested, lol. 3rd party firewalls are usually not the issue, what you'll want to focus on is the Windows firewall since Microsoft fails at shit like that. "Allow" D2 to pass through your Windows firewall and it should work.

Could always try running in compatibility mode too, although I don't think that would help.

 

It was a temporary IP block on that server. My friend gave me a bad key that wasn't Battle.net ready and I tried logging in too many times.

It works now.
