The new 2010 pures-

Hello all,
i have a skiller that i would like to make a pure out of.
i just recently started playing runescape again & im sure the old pures are blown away these days..
So i would like anyone and everyone to tell me there opinion on the newer better pures that are out there these days.
PREFERRABLY LVL 65 & UNDER.

 

A lot of pures are getting summoning, maybe try that. I'm not a pro, or even good with pures, but I definitely wouldn't suggest getting over 60-70 attack. I hear pures complain constantly about getting owned by zerkers' because they're maxed. My advice would to be just the classic gmauler. 50-99-1 with high range for rune knife/maul combo.

 

I have a few pures but its really up to what you like.

I have my 'main pure' hes 66+5 combat he has 80 str and 60 attack. roving elves done and alot of questing on that account.

my current favorite is my obby tank. 50 combat, 70 str, 5 attack, 40 defense 53 ranged. hes truly unstoppable

 

The old school pkers remain the best. No 2010 pker can compete.

However, if you want to dominate PvP make a 50 attack XX strength 1 defense 31 prayer account.

Those are not only great rushers but overall a pretty successful build. I've had good luck with mine.

right now i've started it with 50 str. no other combat skills are leveled up. i think im going to get around 80 strenth and obby maul it up.
then maybe go to a ddser or g mauler.. keep posting everyone!!

 

Anything under 65 will not be fun. You'd be better rushing to ~75 combat to have actual skills. Go Ranged/Strength. It's old, but goooooood.

 

60/80/1 Dragon claw pures are destroying my obby pure when they rush me.

You'll get a lot of loot and win most fights like that but you're risking a lot and people will not like you very much.

Go for an Obby tank with 40 defence.

 

I suggest you turn it into a f2p pker. F2p pking is simple, cheap, yet still quite fun. Also this will keep you under 65 combat. Go for r2h/range build and get 40/70/1 70 range to start off with. I recommend you keep your prayer at 1 as the combat levels for 31 aren't really worth it until higher level + it's really annoying recharging your prayer after every single fight.

 

yeahh thats pretty much what i would do. im not much of a pure pker, but when i see those guys they make me nervous cause they always own people hah

82 mage (blitz) 60 atk, 99 str. have fun d claw rushing =), you're going to have 11 min prayer i think

 

Just some advice, whichever build you make, don't soulwars it. My 60-99-1 constantly gets wrecked. It's only like 64 hp...it looks flashy, but it's not worth the trouble.

 

Summoning/Obby Tanks are pretty good nowadays. Especially if you get a unicorn and dfs.

A hybrid granite mauler is your best bet. 50/80/1 with 80+ Ranged and 82/94 Magic.

 

Thats what i have, 60 att, 80 str, 1 def.
Though i don't actually pk, so i only have 1 prayer as well.
The classic 1 def, 60 att pures have always been my favourite.

 

Can't beat.

60 Attack
80+ Strength
31 Prayer
94 Magic

D Scim + DDs + Barrage Pking, w/ Fire Cape in +1

i have decided to just to get 1-80-1 for now. ill obby maul it up in p2p,
i think after i get bored with that ill get 50 attack and 94 mage for barrage/gmaul

try getting 20 attk, 85 str, 70 ranged. use corrupt vestas longsword, pwn some nerds lol. Here's what it should look like.
