[CDT] ☀️ Upcoming Events Poll ☀️

Dear Sythe users, summer is coming along quickly which means the CDT is hosting some events again!

The CDT would like to give Sythe users the opportunity to vote for the two events they would like to see live this month. The events that can be chosen from are:

- Minecraft
- Pokemon Showdown
- Poker
- Design contest
- Drop party
- 8 Ball Pool


Minecraft

Spoiler

- Previously hosted Minecraft event for reference: Fun Community Minecraft Server (WIN Prizes!)

- You will play in a server strictly with other Sythe users that signed up for this event, where you will have to survive and build your way to the top! The last 3 survivor(s) are eligible for prizes.

Pokemon Showdown

- You will play against other Sythe users in a 1 v 1 Pokemon Showdown battle. The battle phase will take place in two stages:

- [Stage 1] All participants will be assigned to a group through Sythe PM. Participants must play one battle against every member of their group. The two participants with the most wins, will advance to stage 2.
- [Stage 2] A tournament bracket will be assigned through Sythe PM. The games in this stage will be a best of three.

- The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are eligible for prizes.

Poker

- Previously hosted Poker event for reference: [CDT] Sythe Poker Tournament [Sign ups till 15th of May] [SPONSORED BY DEATH GOLD & SERVICES]

- You will play against other Sythe users at the table, whoever runs out of chips is out of the tournament. This will continue until one last table of players is left, who will then play against each other.

- 1st place is eligible for a prize.

Drop Party

- You will get access to the POH of the host. The host will drop items at random places and there's only one rule in play: First come, first served!

8 Ball Pool

- You will play against other Sythe users in a 1 v 1 8 Ball Pool battle. The battle phase will take place in two stages:

Design contest

- You will have to design either a card, something gfx related or a meme in order to entry. Max entries per person will be three. Once all entries have been received, the community will vote for their favorite entries.

- The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are eligible for prizes.

Voting will end in 1 week from now. The two best voted events will get hosted this month!

Can't go wrong with poker

 

I think Poker would be the most popular one although I don’t really fancy any of the above events.

 

Letting us vote for the events we want is a pretty nice change, however, a bit more variety would be nice because as Wortel said, none of them really appeal to me

To be fair the events haven't really been appealing to me as I've been rather inactive here lately anyways. The ones I used to like were the regular but famous online games. You could base those around the days of the year.

Typically the events I liked were just the random online games the CDT found, as I usually spent the most time on those and enjoyed them the most.
Will say however that although I didn't participate in them, the real life creation ones where you create food/drink/etc were also pretty enjoyable, even if just to see what people would create

 

Preferably some task based events like the PokeMMO or WoW event we had a few years back

right lol I feel like those other ones would be super serious events.

 

Glad to see some more events on the way, awesome !

I really hope one day we can do some sort of typing test challenge for WPM/Accuracy and the high scores can be recorded like the Bunny Hop game that was held during Easter time.
