    Pascal

    I heard about this old programming language called pascal. People said it isn't good, but I started reading a tutorial. It seemed really simple.

    Program test;
    Begin
    Writeln('Hello')
    Readln
    End.

    I think that's right..
    Anyways, is it worth learning pascal? Just for the fun of it. I mean, I'm not thinking of making a big program or anything. And 1 more question,
    is pascal cabable of making forms? Like this:

    (Found on google).
    If it is, I would love to start learning pascal.

    Pascal is old. Delphi is essentially a more updated version of Pascal, so if you're intent on learning it, learn Delphi.

    However I really don't think either is that great. Try Python if you want something simple to muck around with.

    pascal and delphi (object pascal - basically pascal + oop) are what scar and autorune were written in. the scar scripting language is pascal too. pascal has the ability to make forms, however, it's old and yuck. you might as well go with delphi, though it sucks too.

    I just need a simple language that's easy to code in, and has forms. Any suggestions?

    SCAR is basically Pascal and it can be used for multiple purposes(mainly for botting on Runescape). It's frequently updated and has an active community(www.villavu.com). There are lots of tutorials there and you can always ask. So if you want something easy and a good place to start this can be. Though it is intended to make scripts for Runescape so if you want to make other kind of things learn something like Python or Delphi.

    Python is a very simple programming language. It's really easy to learn. You can make text games with it easily.

    PyGame is actually a very useful and complex gaming library for Python, so you can go far beyond text games.

    I would say Visual Basic, but that language creates too many bad habits. If you're willing to go for something a little more complex, try out C# (it's really easy once you get the hang of it, plus there is a ton of support for it). If neither of those float your boat, go with Delphi or Python (I'd suggest Delphi, personally, just like it more).
