Holy shit.. Never go to Genericon.

So I had nothing to do tonight... And two asian friends on mine said that they were going to this big "festival" called "Genericon".

Remember "Laire" from the movie "Role Models"? This was basically what it was. People of all ages, from middle school - middle aged who dress up in their favorite anime/video game characters and have a big meeting. There's people playing Magic the card game, Japanese anime movie theaters and tons of geeky board games. I walked in with bootcut stonewash Hollister jeans, a Hollister shirt, tan Timberland boots and for once, I WAS the one out of place. It was 25 fucking bucks to get in. I ended up scalping my ticket/nametag for $10. If you've ever heard of this place, DONT GO. It's a annual thing and it's the biggest nerd-a-palooza you'll ever encounter.

Trust me, even if you play Magic the duel, wear the same clothes non stop for days and haven't shaved or cut your hair in 10 years even YOU would feel out of place. It smelled, (Probably because everyone was overweight) filled with the biggest geeks in the world and had the weirdest people you'll ever meet.

I want to know if anyone knows what the event is and can tell me HOW weird this place is. People from all over the country come.

You've been there? At least i would enjoy it. Blizzcon is based on Blizzard-only. Not Magic the duel and EVERY anime there is. The weirdest people were like 10 people dressed like "L" from "Death Note".. this guy:
