Cartoon house - First Vector

This took me about two hours, which I know is long. :embar:

I used [THIS] tutorial, and here are my two outcomes:

First (blue and orange):



Second (purple and orange):



I followed MOST of the tutorial, but not all of it.
Added a reflection on the bottom which I think looks nice.
Please keep in mind this is my first Vector, C&C.

 

I like it alot, but it isnt perfect. : p
id give you a 8.5/10.

 

Honestly, it's not that bad. I think vector is somewhat harder than any other form of graphics. I think the background is bland and boring, and you should incorporate more vector art into it.

Yeah vectors are the hardest because you have to make the shapes and everything. In a signature, you can use some c4ds, pen tool, smudge, etc. Your kinda using pre-made tools.
Anyways, yeah I just added a gradient and a cloud, I'll try next time I make a vector.

Thank you all for the feedback, I'll be sure to make another vector including some of these tips .

 

Not to shabby for a first try, it has alot of potential. Compared to what i know of vector art,that would take me weeks. haha.

Edit: I've noticed that the way you have your shadows on the bottom of the house and how you have your doorstep makes it seem like the house is floating,might wanna fix that (idk how).

 

first maybe it would help to have a fairly simple understanding of physics and try and not make the house floating while the window shutters are stuck to the house.

At edit: Yeah I should of kind of thought it out lol. The reason I did that was because the tutorial told me to do that. I think adding a ground or something like grass while make it look not floating. Thanks a lot of the C&C .
