    Can anyone here interpret dreams?

I was hoping somebody here could interpret dreams. I have bean having this same dream since i took a nap on August 7th 2009. In the dream i am fully aware that i am dreaming but i don't see anything but black and i cant move any part of my body. I try to wake myself up and eventually can wiggle my fingers and then more of my body until i finally wake up.

o_O dude.. i have something like this all the time, except i don't see anything. What ends up happening, is ill be dreaming, and ill know it. But i can't move. and i try to wake myself up but i can't move anything. and finally for some reason in my dream i find the force to turn my body over, and i wake up o_O i have no idea why it happens, and i haven't had that dream in along time.

but when i was having it, my brother just left to go to rehab, i was in a huge fight between my parents, and my tourettes were really bad at the time.

Im not an interpreter, but i finally came up with the answer that it was because i felt helpless, and stressed out.

    Hope i helped ;X

You're probably suffering from Sleep Paralysis, its quite common.
I've had it happen to me only once in my life, but another time I had a Charlie Horse while I was asleep, woke up but couldn't move my body or talk for like 5 minutes.

As Junster said, it's most likely sleep paralysis.

TBH, i sort of want to experience that :p

If i hadn't already i would too, it sounds cool as shit but to be honest it's really scary. And a lot of people have terrible hallucinations accompanied by it.

Go to someone in the field of neurophysiology. I think they can help.

    Can anyone here interpret dreams?

I've kind of had the same thing. I've dreamed before, half awake from naps and even deep sleep. Then I open my eyes WHILE asleep, like i can see my wall if i'm facing it... But idk if thats just me VISUALIZING it or if my eyes really opened while i'm asleep.

Anyways i know i'm dreaming, and try to move my arms but can't because i want to wake myself up and it scares me, making my body think i'm "paralyzed". It's scary.

Well I had a thing like that for about 2 years.
I could move the bones in my body but the skin was stiff and wouldn't move with the bone.

So I could ball my hand into a fist but only the bones in the skin would fist and the fingers and everything would stay stuck like i was in a suit.

If you were to interpret it, it would be something like..

You are in a tricky situation, something is confusing you, you feel stuck in life, you are being controlled, someone is "owning" you.

    Thats the rough estimates.

Yeah it's sleep paralysis, i just went through that last night i was stuck there and in my room there is a ps3 and i could hear my brother playing it but i couldn't talk or move and when i got up he was still playing it like he was before i went to sleep. It was scary the first few times but now im sorta use to it.

All you really have to do is have a messed up sleeping schedule, I'd give away my ability for it if I could

    Can anyone here interpret dreams?

For a couple of years, I experienced this exact thing. I would seemingly wake up and be unable to move. I could feel, see, and hear everything. It seemed so real. After struggling for a bit, I would finally be able to move. When I transitioned from the paralyzed state to the 'normal' state, it seemed flawless. There didn't seem to be any sort of 'waking up' involved, so I came to the conclusion that it wasn't a dream.

That is, until my brain made a critical mistake. One night, before falling asleep, I left an unopened bag of Doritos lying on the bed next to me. Well, after a few hours of sleep, I experienced the paralysis. It seemed authentic. My room looked exactly as it should, down to every last detail... except for one glaring oddity; The bag of Doritos was open, and they were scattered all across my bed.

As always, after struggling for a moment, I was able to move. Again, the transition from paralysis to normalcy was flawless. I was under the impression that the experience was real, until something caught my eye. The bag of Doritos was still sitting on my bed, sealed.

In my experience, these dreams were ridiculously realistic, but they were definitely dreams. Yours could be completely different; I don't know. It's just something to consider.

I really hate Sleep Paralysis. It happens to me because of my erratic sleep cycle and when I'm extremely tired.

Best thing is not to fight it. If it happens to you, do the opposite of your instincts. Try to fall asleep inside the paralysis.

It's not a real physical paralysis; it's believed to be caused by an unusual interruption of REM sleep. Parts of your brain are offline, while other parts are online. If you panic you may experience the sensation of being unable to draw enough breath to meet your oxygen requirements, and this can be most unpleasant.

I had it a few times years back. My advice to anyone suffering it would be to allocate 8 hours blocks for sleep and ensure that these will be uninterrupted. If your subconscious is satisfied that there is nothing going on for the next 8 hours you should sleep more soundly.
