I see them like trigger warnings (proven to cause more harm than good) they cause harm by encouraging people to not interact with people who have opposing views

only useful for people with learning disabilities or have audio or sensory issues Autism, dyslexia, OCD, ADHD (etc)

Ngl I'm ok with trigger warnings directed toward victims of sexual assault, for instance. If you get a lil bit butthurt when someone talks about the economy because you're a fragile little Marxist tho then go suck ya mama ass.

 

I agree it's important to have warnings for people who may have experienced some fucked up shit, but having generalized warnings announced to everyone in a classroom will just single out students resulting in them being asked 100s of questions if they were to walk out.

Also having a trigger warning for everything now just makes everyone a victim and causes people to have trauma over things they didn't in the past since they are essentially being told they need to have some sort of trauma to fit in with everyone else since it's so normalized now

I gurantee you that If you were to ask a room of 100 people who claimed they were raped. Only a few them would've actually been raped while the rest were at most sexually assaulted. But since it's become so normalized to have trauma, it blurs the lines between words and experiences and harms real victims.
