How much should I sell this account for??

Okay seriously we need a price check SECTION. The price check sticky does not work. It was set up so that you estimate the account above you and post yours. This obviously does not work. If I am going there to price check my account I most likely do not know the price of the account above me. This is not effective and In my opinion should be changed.

A price check section would lower the spam threads in other sections including runescape general and blackmarket lounge. It would also enable people to get more estimates for their accounts so they can make a more educated guess as to what their account is worth.

The price check sticky is just a trash bin. I doubt it was supposed to have any functional use, other than to stop users from making Price Check threads around the site.

Price checks are pointless. There are far too many factors that go into the value of an account for anything to be priced accurately - there's the reputation of the seller, various skill levels, gp/items, quests, the amount of recovery information available, the offense history, etc. An account is worth pretty much whatever people are willing to pay, and any estimate other than a bid from an interested buyer is meaningless. If a user really wants a price check, all they have to do is try and sell the account.

A price check is basically what would YOU pay for the account. The account itself is worthless if no one is willing to pay. You're right there wont be one exact answer, and that is the point of it. If you try and sell it and figure out you cant even get close to what you thought you might be able to get, it just clutters up the forums.

Also it could not count towards posts. Just like the vouch sections and spam sections. Support?

 

Another section would clutter up the forum too, especially in the market.

It would also introduce the problem of users creating multiple Sythe accounts to appraise their RS accounts, so as to link buyers to the inflated "actual value".

 

I don't support. Why don't you just attempt to sell the account and see what people offer?

 

That is a good point, but if there are pictures of an account and they both have the same stats... it's the same account, lol. 1 more section wouldn't do near the clutter as the threads posted every day to price check.

By what you're saying the whole price check sticky should be thrown away because that too could be used to link buyers. The funny thing is you made it :huh: .
