A perfectly reasonable donation perk for $5/$25

I'm going to get right into it; I recently donated $5 and am quite frankly happy with the current perks I get :love:. However, others are not so I'm going to make a suggestion for an additional perk for $5 and $25 donators.

Firstly, to clear it up, a UT(User title) is your status based on post-count e.g
Leecher (0-24 posts)
Member (25-99 posts)
Active Member (100-249 posts)
Forum Addict (250-599 posts)
Apprentice (600-999 posts)
Guru (1000-1999 posts)
Grand Master (2000 to unlimited posts)


As you become a $50 donator you can change this to whatever you want, within reason e.g 'Gp emperor'

What I'm suggesting is this:
$5 donator's current post-count based UT can be in bold/italic/underlined e.g
Forum Addict, Forum Addict or Forum Addict
Debate on whether only one type of the above can be used.

$25 get the above and their UT is green to match the Green H'ween mask icon e.g
Forum Addict, Forum Addict, Forum Addict, or Forum Addict

Also, it's been suggested that the dark-green colour on the dark blue of the website might look unappealing, but it could also be changed to GOLD/YELLOW to match the coins between the masks in the rank. This would look at least decent on the blue, and have the same effect.

As $50 and $100 donators might object, I'm thinking maybe:

$50 donators might get a coloured post count/join date or something along similar lines.

$100 donators could get an option to display their contact details (I.e Msn or aim adress) in the bar above their posts. It could be in the join date/ post count location. This would mean instead of buyers having to click through profiles and look at signatures, the donator would have it in every post.

Hmmm, that's not too bad of an idea, but, they would also have to add more to the $50/100 rank to make up for it. Support.

It's just a little add-on to reward donators and make more people donate. I know that you know that I know that you know that 80% of people who donate do it solely for the rank and rewards, not the cause.

People donate to the site to help it, which is a double argument for what I'm about to say, so why not at least give them something in return? Especially if it's not costing Sythe anything.

You may throw the argument "Well, you're donating to help the site and nothing more, so why do you need perks?"

Well, nobody donates solely to help the site, most just want the rank.

 

Don't try and give suggestions while typing the whole guide in bold. Because it makes it hard to give examples "Forum Addict, Forum Addict or Forum Addict" aren't they all bold?

How is giving a $100 donator a bar with their MSN a perk? We all can do that, just go to your profile.

The only thing I support here is a $25 donator rank perk improvement, not necessarily your idea for it however. Green would look terrible on the blue.
