How do you use a .gif as your avatar?

I'm just wondering, I've seen other normal members with them, I'm wondering how to use one. I've tried before, but it comes up with a still image.

 

Just upload it from your computer.

You have to resize it first

 

Is there a website that can do it for you?

 

Open the image in imageReady, in the top bar click ->image->image size, in the box you see make sure the 'constrain proportions' box is active and resize your image. After you clicked the OK button you go to File->save optimized, or save as and you're done.

You have to find a 19kb or less .gif aswell as being in the size of 80x80.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

 

It will work if it is under the right size. Look up the thread I made called "Need .gif resized", someone posted a site that can do it for you.
