    The Existence of God

Argument from ignorance. You don't know so you assume that God did it because no-one has offered an alternative explanation.

Essentially you're saying "there's no reason so I'll make one up."

Dude, stop trying to sound smart, you're such a fucking idiot spreading your moronic beliefs with your horrid fucking grammar. Get the fuck out of this section, and go jump off a bridge.

I apologize for the flame, but you've been here for almost a year now, and you've never contributed a positive point. It's really annoying. The last thread was closed for a reason.

To answer the question, the burden of proof does not rest on those who don't believe in a magical being that created the universe. There's no proof for God's existence, whatsoever. Why believe in something without any reason to believe in that something?

Proving that God doesn't exist isn't a valid argument as there's no proof for the existence of God, and thus no reason to believe God does exist. So your entire perspective is flawed.

Please go read a few books, or articles, and listen to some lectures before you start trying to converse with others about something you clearly don't understand with a method you have no experience in.

No, but I'm not going to make one up simply because I don't know. I just say "I don't know." and continue to live my life.

you cuss and insult me and then say my grammer is bad. thats funny.and there are reasons for believing in god. without him none of us could be created so their is a reason right there. but what is realy funny is you state "why believe in something for no reason" but yet i ask for your reason to tell me their is a not god and you have none. you have no reasons to justify their is not a god but yet you believe that. and then say that it is stupid to believe in something without reasons. your post is controversial

Well, if I was to present the Big Bang Theory: which states that the universe was, at it's very early stages, filled with high energy density, huge temperatures and pressure, and was fluctuating with extreme heat and cooling periods. It then states that the universe expanded (slowly) into what we see it now.

But you probably wouldn't care to listen to anything other than "god did it."
Look kid, I believe in God too, and what you're doing is just stupid. If you want to 'convert' people, at least have solid background on the subject. You'll look like a fucking fool trying to spread blind gospel to people.

    Pascal's Wager. It is flawed.

How do you know that your God is the right one? Why is it Yahweh (the Jewish cum Christian God) and not say, Thor, or Odin?

At your latter question: Because you instantly discounted everything Deacon said simply because of the way he said it. He was pissed off at your inability to understand basic principles. In a rational argument, while ad Hominem is irrational, it is irrational moreso to discount the validity of everything else because you don't like what was said.

If you dont mind me asking pie4muh, which faith are you?

If you were as i once was, and beleived in a christian god, then i can't help but disagree with you.

What type of all loving, all knowing, and all mighty god would place us here with no evidence of his existence, demand praise, and damn us to an enternity of hellfire and brimstone if we do not follow his rules to a tee.

    The Existence of God

    Nobody can deny Jesus existed.

Non-religious Roman scripture proves that Jesus existed there was papers and notes about everyone that had to die on the crosses. Almost no philosopher or historian will deny Jesus existed. HOWEVER! Prove to me how he touched a paralyzed person and they got up and carried there stretcher away. Or how 5 loves of bread can feed a thousand people? To insane to be true imo.

    My faith? Not sure atm

Well, I don't see why it's so hard to understand the flaws of your arguments. This isn't a debate about your belief, but about either the rationality of belief or fundamental existence of God. If you really believe in God just because you cannot find evidence to disprove God, then you might as well go onto believe in the invisible pink unicorn or the flying spaghetti monster where the burden of proof remains the same.

Ultimately, faith isn't a rational argument. It's the response when all other rationalization fails.

i never i said i believe in god simply because there is no evidence to disprove his existence. i believe in him because he exists. there is no way to explain how the universe was created without god. there is no way to know what is right and wrong without god. we had to be created some way and god is the only logical explanation. he gave us all we wanted to know in the bible
