A thread for Guide Sales for guides that are non-runescape related (eg. ebooks)

I want to sell an ebook I wrote, it's about 10 pages long with over 5000 words. I want to sell it here on sythe but there's no section where i can sell guides that are non-runescape related.

 

Your best bet would be the Non-virtual items section.

 

This is the wrong section. In the future, direct non-runescape, non GFX and non programming questions to the H&R section of the forum.

 

I could write a complete NAT guide for the Xbox 360 and/or complete home networking things but you know no place to put and I'd rather have a general help thread... .

 

You do realize he said eBook? It's all virtual, why would it belong in the non-virtual section?

I support. It may not be a popular section, but still.

 

I support, it probably won't have a ton of traffic, but it will still have some.

I would think it would be semi-popular. Worth a forum I would say.

 

Its more relevant than any of the other market sections.
Just put them in the non-virtual market.

 

It seems to me that moderators don't even know what belongs in the non-virtual market. By that I mean half of them are saying something and the other half another. Most of the virtual things being sold in the non-virtual market are not even locked.

Maybe rename it to 'Real Life Items' and add exceptions on what virtual things can be sold, or create a 'Other Virtual Items' section for god's sake. It'll probably be more popular than Non-Virtual, and people can have a proper place to sell CD Keys, domains, eBooks, etc.

 

You can get E-books free online(non warez), why would people buy this?

 

Maybe someone writes their own book and wants to sell it on Sythe
(such as the OP) A book is a book. If someone's interested in reading it, they'll buy it.

 

Would you consider an e-book to be a game either?

 

No, but I don't consider it to be a non-virtual item either. This is why a new section is needed, virtual goods like ebooks don't really belong in any of the current ones.
