    Why would atheists do that?

Atheists believe that they simply cease to exist after death. If you cease to exist, you are not there to care about being dead. Atheists don't fear death because they know there is nothing to fear.

On the other hand, Christians worried about going to hell would certainly try everything possible to avoid death.

He did have a point, however, it was the view of an ambitious, irrational atheist.

If you thought you knew that there was nothing more after death, and you truly loved life, you would want to keep it. In such cases, his post poses it's presence.

The difference is for us. Not the universe as a whole.

Why would christians have worries if they know they lived good and are going to heaven.

For atheist care about being dead because they think there is nothing if you die but they dont know for sure that's why they trying to avoid it.

Mass ban on useless things, such as computer gaming. to save electricity. Would you be willing to sacrifice? I don't think most of us would.

Nice generalization you have there. I'm an Atheist, and I have no problem admitting I'm afraid of death. I see death more as missing out on the rest of my life, which would be lame.

That is a false statement a true christian knows where there going and its heaven. If they fear death that shows where there faith really is. I am a proud christian and i do not fear death and when i am called home i am happy to go.

are you kidding me? humans don't make a difference? we are the most nature-destorying species to have ever existed. we think everything around us is DEAD NONEXISTENT ,as if we are the only living species, the human race in general is so destructive. if we want 2 continue as a species we are going to have to settle our itsy bitsy differences with one another and move on2the bigger picture. ----
    ur question: life the point?
It's different for everyone, for me it's 'live, laugh&,love'

So, if I become an evangelical Christian, I will go to heaven regardless of God's existence or non-existence.

Or, if I become a Christian, my life will attain some kind of meaning through my desire to go to 'heaven'.

Stop posting nonsensical non-arguments, you are contributing nothing to any debate.

So you're happy to live your life content that you will be chosen to be 'saved', despite there being no scientific evidence that your 'destination' exists?

Seems a somewhat hollow existence to be brainwashed into believing your one experience of anything is only a precursor to a 'perfect' life.

There is no point in life. We're genetic accidents. The only point of life is what we decide it to be.

Yes, living should probably be somewhere in your list of points in life.

We Christians believe that life is God's greatest gift to us. Our purpose in life is to (believe it or not) live. Live your life to the fullest, and make sure you follow the rules (God's.)

Humans are life. To say the world was better before humans is ridiculous.

Global warming? Give me some proof, not just some Al gore crapola.
