Well I'm glad several scientists have 'debunked' it. They'll probably have a hard time proving it to thousands of their peers who have repeatedly demonstrated it's factuality.

Care to show me any proof?

Paper currency is real, the value or assigned to the piece of paper is not.

 

A dollar in itself does not exist, it is an agreed universal measure by which to exchange items.

Forgive me, but I think I'm missing your point here. Human society functions on the exchange of goods and services, and currency is the method used to facilitate a trade.

The alternative is communism, which you have repeatedly demonstrated to be flawed.

 

Their 'peers' are people who are usually backed by political and public motivation. People can be very stupid.

Proof of what? That we have ice ages every 10,000 years? Do your own damn research. What I stated was a fact. You implied global warming was true without any evidence to suggest that the world would be in a state of global warming. As Sythe has said, burden of proof is on you.

Those 'goods' I am trading don't belong to me, and come with tons of stipulations. I believe in a free market, not one in which my government and my people determine what I'm allowed, and not allowed to sell, and for how much.

And no, it is not a universal measure. It is a petty way to control trade. That's it.

You're simply saying that because you can't come up with any conclusive proof that we're in a state of global warming, and I have a link sitting right here telling me we're simply in a warm period between ice ages .

'The state' is not a very aggressive collective if you don't use currency, it's passive-aggressive in that you can not, as a result of ignoring the currency and the value it holds, enjoy the same luxuries others can. "You can't live a good life if you don't use this currency" is generally the tactic they employ.

 

If you can show me an independent study conclusively proving the earth experiences an ice age every ten thousand years I will happily eat my hat.

 

I have a problem with people who rant =/. And I sometimes feel it's necessary to educate someone before they make a complete fool of themselves .

So, back to topic. The world is indeed crazy. However, it will not change for a long while.

Why? You have provided no proof that we're not. There's been tons of Ice Ages in our history. Most of the North American continent is shaped by ice. So, it would seem pretty obvious that my claim is more valid than yours. ^.^. Or is it that you just have no resources to back your theory that the world is going to melt?

 

Look up the Milankovitch cycles, they have some relation to this if I'm not mistaken.

We're arguing for arguments sake and our points were all made pages ago, so I think it's probably time I headed off.

 

Not in 100% of cases is physical violence resorted to, but still touché.

The world as we know it revolves around those things you mentioned up there, and it will never change. Money, Land, Power is something everyone wants but only few can have... Religion you can't debate about because neither side will win it just continues forever.. But just think with all those things you mentioned up there can you imagine the world without it? it would be like everyone is mind controlled or something,

That's false. The world is already changing, and quickly so. Religion will one day no longer depend on a god, but instead follow a logical moral code in which people can live harmoniously without war or hatred for different beliefs. We're just such a new race we haven't gotten there yet, but we're learning.

For now, yes, those are the things people want, but that will eventually change. Hell, most of my generation doesn't care about that shit, we just want our computers and to be left alone. Haha.

A world without opinion is not bad. A world with a forced opinion IS bad. However, I have confidence that our race will one day evolve out of such petty differences.
