For your first try, thats pretty good. But I think C4Ds are suppose to be mainly for effects, not your whole signature, don't overuse them.
If you look at my current signature, I placed a stock and used a main c4d on the bottom. Then I added a few more, smudged, added gradient maps,
    filters, and so on.

But overall, that looks pretty nice (maybe a smaller size next time).

Acutally, c4ds can make good focals at times. If you're going to use c4ds mess with the layer settings a bit e.g. setting it to lighten. But, not changing the layer settings can result in something great always. I think you should have left the whole sigs colors alone, and blended them easier by using photo filters and gradient maps with layer settings messed around with. Use your imagination when using photoshop, as many things can come out.

looks like a good base actually, the left side should be like the right side, so remove those c4d('s) this opens up a way for extra effects lighting depth coloring etc. good job for your first.

Try blending your c4ds, and set them on lower opacity.

He's using solid c4d's doesn't work that way.
Lowering c4d's opacity almost in every case leaves me with a bad result.
