    Internet connections in different countrys

Hellow my friends at sythe.org. I live in Sweden, and here we have very good internect connections in our homes. 89% of all households in Sweden are able to use an internet connection. I believe those 89% are at least ADSL (0,5mbit/s - 24mbit/s) if not it's very close to 89%. I'd guess that at least 50% can get 100mbit/s.
We also has very affordable prices and all our broadbands have unlimited bandwidth both up and down.
Here are normal prices in sweden (converted to USD)

    ADSL
    0,5 Mbit/s: $14
    2 Mbit/s: $28
    8 Mbit/s: $38
    24 Mbit/s: $50

    Cable:
0,5 - 24 Mbit/s are often the same but some speeds are like $7 cheaper.
    100 Mbit/s: $57

    Fiber
Fiber is often very cheap. You can get 10/10 Mbit/s for about $14 in most major cities.
And 100 Mbit/s for maybe $28 or cheaper.

So now I want you to tell me how it works in your country. How many households can get fast speeds and how much are the speeds? And is it unlimited bandwidth in your country also?

I don't know any stats but I know my internet rarely hits over 50kb/s and we can't get cable in my area even when the residents on our street offered to pay for it.
Im in England by the way and the current internet is like £15 a month and then I use a 3GB mobile broadband allowance for the same price

Peru has good Internet connections, with cyber cafés and Internet cabins in the most unlikely of small towns breaking down barriers of distance more effectively than the telephone ever did. Lima and Cusco have abundant Internet facilities, closely followed by Arequipa, Huaraz, Puno, Iquitos and Trujillo; beyond that it gets a little patchy, but the odd public access office or café does exist and many hotels now offer access too. The general rate is $1.20-1.75 an hour, though thity- and fifteen-minutes options are often available. One of the most widespread and professional service providers in Peru is RCP (Red Cientifica Peruana; [email protected]), who have a Lima office, as well as one in Cusco where they offer inexpensive computer-to-telephone international calls.

Basically you either have DSL or you have Dial up, nothing in between

Mine sucks, because I live way out in the country. In towns, though, 5-10mbps is regular. I think we pay the upside of $40 because they're the only company that provides internet where I live, so they kind of have a monopoly.

This costs around $40. For like $5 more per month you can get up to 30mbps I think...

Cable is the best around here... DSL is pretty lame and fiber is only available in certain areas...

The one benefit here is that bandwidth is unlimited :D
