Pathetic Mod in-activity

I am so extremely disapointed in the mods of sythe that I can not even say in words properly.

Look at the report a scammer section, 20 pages of reports yet out of the 10 mods who are assigned to look after section, they have not even shown the slightest interest in it.

Even more pathetic: 30 pages of scam reports yet no mod pays enough attention to them, allowing the scammers to scam more people and not get banned until a very long time after. If the old reports are no longer relevant, then delete/archive them.

I know that mods aren't paid for this and are doing it on their own time, but as a mod YOU accepted what it took be a mod. If you don't want to do your job then resign, please. You are just taking up a spot that a more useful person who is actually willing to do the work would do.

There's one of these every week and it's always from an idiot who was dumb enough to get scammed. It's clear that you're too raged to accept you are the only one at fault for allowing yourself to fall for some kind of blatant scam, and instead of accepting your losses and moving on you feel the need to shift the blame onto the mods.

I agree, mods are not really active in my opinion. I live in +8 gmt and don't see any mods online except for heavenlord, the off topic mod.

 

30 pages of scam reports = 1 page of stuff worth looking at.

Just because retards get scammed it doesn't mean we should let scammers run free. That would be similar to the hospital not treating you when you do a stupid stunt and break your arm.

 

It's a fair comparison Grave, but since they are different in nature I can argue that it's not the same. Which brings me to say that it's not the same.

I think in many cases the moderators to keep a pretty tight lid on the bigger scammers, but some of the ones that have been running around rampant have multiple reports and accusations yet still manage to scam users. It all depends where we draw the line of personal responsibility versus the moderator's responsibility. We can't completely depend on the mods, but we also need them to do their job. So far, the balance has been well kept.

 

I've never been scammed because I'm not stupid. Yet I see multiple reports for people who scammed many people yet they are not banned

LOL. Have you or have you not seen the report a scammer and spammer sections? The balance is horrible, there is no balance whatsoever actually.

If everyone reported scammers in the right manor, without screenshots as proof, it would definitely get done quicker. Moderators don't do it because it's such a hassle digging for all the relevant proof that you should provide in the report.

To be honest I don't see anything wrong with the moderators as of late. I don't agree.

 

Yet you cannot see the modlogs, the edited/deleted/moved posts, the members that get infracted, the infraction/ban disputes that get done, and the effect that we have upon the site.

 

God damn it! Stop being a bitch here! The 90% of the scam reports are fakes, the mod do this out of FREE WILL, they have no obligation of doing it!

And, you have been here in lees than a month, you are a leecher, you got 22 posts, your not one to start whining over the mods.

 

I bet 10% if that have enough evidence to even contemplate a ban.

There are stickys how to post screen shots etc etc.. Chat logs arn't proof etc etc.


Kids conitue to put down 500 links to imageshack which take a lot of time, and often times arnt proof or chat logs

Kids will have no proof

Kids will have part of the msn convo missing/full convo required

Kids wont show the guys email adress ( must show his email in the convo)

Not saying they are doing perfect, but that have a lot of other stuff to do..

Not to mention you can never stop any scamming.. they can make new accounts and use proxys if they get IPbanned. Mod's do a lot on this site, considering they are doing it for free, they aren't doing a bad job


And if you know you have 100% proof of some one ban evading or scamming, add a mod or something on msn, some have helped me on multiple occasions =).

 

There is a thread like this made every day basically. We have too few staff members as it is. We do a whole shit ton more than just very boring scam and spam reports. Stepping down will do nothing except make the site even less moderated.

 

The mods are doing fine but I have 1 question...

do they read their Sythe PMs? I PMed Giddy over a week ago when he asked for proof of this guy scamming and hasn't responded yet.

 

Also the spammer section gets filled out in a very short time. We could spend 3 hours straight doing them, and the next morning another 5 will pop up.
