    Mac vs. PC

Which do the people of Sythe.org prefer?

I've ALWAYS used PCs but I have to admit, the idea of getting a Mac has been growing on me. I watched a few reviews of the MacBook Pro and I'm probably going to get one eventually.

I'd probably dual boot with Windows and OSX because I'm more familiar with how Windows works.

Sorry if there's a thread like this already, I searched it a couple times and didn't find anything.

    Mac vs. PC

The general end-user will prefer Windows if only because it dominates nearly the entire market, thus it has more support. Mac is very capable, however Microsoft (Bill Gates) just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Personally I prefer Operating Systems with UNIX bases, such as Mac OS, Linux etc. I use Windows because it has more support, but I've always enjoyed using them.

Edit: to be on topic: I don't really care. If it works, I'll use it.

I've added a poll. I don't know if I'd be able to use a Mac all the time. I'd say I would mostly use it for video editing/watching etc.. I suppose Windows is more versatile, but what Mac does well, it does very well.

And yet they're the best computers you can get for multimedia and professional studio editing and artwork? Try again.

I use a personal computer? Mac's are expensive and I just use my computer for basic photoshop, internet, skype and msn. So I find no need in upgrading my Windows XP.

Yes I had Windows 7, I prefer XP.

Meh, we're talking about an operating system here. Macs aren't too great if you are comparing compatibility and program availability.

Moreso, it's the efficiency of linux/unix based OS's, better security (though Windows is getting better)... or for most people, the enhanced layout of the basic things...

Still, I use PC for praticality, price, and gaming...

Pc for games and programs. If you really want a computer to run without viruses, get linux.
