Looking for some opinions...

Looks great! Would help with all the account trades etc. and stop the people spamming everything thread offering things you said you weren't accepting, for example, offering an account when you said "Paypal only."

It really does look great, Matt. It'll definitely take some adjusting, but like R2P said, the search feature really can help. I don't really have any suggestions, but I wanted to share I thought it looked great.

 

Basically, people on this thread are saying "Umg, prity pikcha luk so gud, naise werk mattU". I really don't see the need for something like this.

1) You asked why it would make trading harder, it wouldn't make it harder just more complex. When people open a thread, they have the title, pictures of account, the trust level of the person they're trading, and the offers that have been made, all in the one window. In your current system, there's no contact details, you have to click to see the user, you have to click to see the discussion.

2) The thread system is what makes sythe unique from other runescape selling/trading sites. If we made an integrated system, I'd see no difference between this site and say, Usfine or Gold4rs.

To the people who would miss the "browse-freely" feel, that's where my suggestion comes in. If you Matthew, could implent a formular, that would sort characters by stats, into categories, like: Tank, skiller, pure, main.

Then you could browse by category? Like we do now..? (Except the retards who keep posting their mains in the pure section)

 

what if your like selling a rsc account? with scythe and like rare name. would that fit in?

 

The problem would occur when you enter markets that don't include RuneScape (Xbox\Real Life\etc).

Also, you run into the issue with certain things like skill training, and 'rare names'.

It could help spice up certain parts of the market (assuming the members use it the correct way).

I say try and avoid complexity (someone isn't really going to post 400+ items that is included in the account) because members will try and cut corners just to get threads up.

Just my thoughts.

As for integrating it into the forums and keeping people happy...

If you set up this system and such... It could be just like the demo you made, but you could also create a thread in the section in the market with all this info also. The discussion on the system could also be linked into the forums...

Then people can still just go through the forums and find what they want that way or they can use the system... Or they could find what they wanted in the system and then go to the thread on the forums...

I've seen a similar system integrated into another website. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was called though :\

@SuF: Wouldn't the thread be the "discussion" tab? I don't see the point in having two systems clashing against eachother.

 

Looks great, but I think the list of items included doesn't need to include all and where is it that people post the pics themselves as verification they own the account

Hm? This system should create a thread and the discussion tab should be linked to that thread in the forums.... Then people could use either the forums or this... >_>.

 

Love the idea but I think the blackmarket is fine as it is. It lets users interact with each other and it feels much better. I don't wanna feel like sythe is a company like usfine.

Make sure you beta test this quite a bit before release.
Since it could go wrong in many ways.

Also, if there could be some form of verification involved in proving the accounts ownership would increase this method as well.

Possibly a new type of staff?
