How to Quit RS.

So what im doing is creating a list of things you can do to help you quit rs. If you haven't already.

Heres a list of stuff you can do to help you quit rs.
Get banned.
Get poor.
Break your computer.
Unsubscribe to your internet service.
Block Runescape.com
shock therapy
Rehab (if they take you seriously)
Get Laid


Add things i should add to the list

 

I just stopped playing. But I guess that some people have a serious problem. I would rather sell my account than blow it. Waste of money.

 

all you need to do is take every gp out of your bank, die in wildy = no more playing

Learn self control.

When you feel the need to log on, think of something else you could be doing, Realise that for every minute you are playing you are stoping yourself from being somewhere else and maybe making friends, gettin laid, etc etc.

 

I have pretty much quit, sold my zerker, etc... Still have a bunch of accounts though. I'm just not addicted.

 

Back in the day i use to spend 2-3 hours minimum on rs it was sick now that i look back at it. Now i log in once in a couple weeks for half hour tops if there is something to do. The real truth is harsh but true... Get a life. After i quit rs (pretty much) I just hanged and with friends more often and did what i thought was fun outside of the house. I sorta miss the times i had on runescape but then again the things i missed out through my teen years is hard to think about.

 

I use to be addicted, but once my main got permo banned ( when i was 20 exp from getting 99 mage too... ) i just flat out quit... Comming back to it now though, mainly because its winter and its far to cold to do anything inside, so i have to keep myself busy inside ( all my games for xbox360 have been outplayed... lol )

 

Perhaps sell off your account, and then go to the movies with your friends and stuff

 

Just don't log in?

Not that hard. I basicly only play Runescape on Monday, Tuesday + Wednesday. The other days i work/hang out with friends. I only play monday, tuesday, wednesday because theres nothing to do those days. And i don't play heaps on those days anyway. Recently just log in to do a farming run, then log out.

To help people quit, maybe just like, limit what time you go on for? Set yourself like a 2 hr a day limit. Then lower it each week. Like maybe 2 hrs a day, then 1.5 hrs a day. Then 2 hrs every second day or something.

there was a time when i played it 12 hours a daynow all i do is sell accounts, so i can afford to take my girlfriend out and enjoy life, its pretty sad tbh spending your whole day playing a game, well done jagex for making it addictive.

 

Well, I seem to be having trouble getting back to playing really.

It's so boring lately.

 

Just quit. It's not hard. If you're really that addicted, just go die with all your items, ruin your pure, or sell your account.

 

Lol, i dont understand how peoples become so addicted to computer games :/ i can play a lot and than dont play at all, it doesnt matter for me, its not a part of my life or something. That looks little creepy

 

Problem with me is..

- I have no social-life down here, or I barely do, mainly at school. All my real friends and my girlfriend live an hour and a half away from here. I don't even know why I moved down here.

- I have a crappy computer and a ps2, so I really don't have many options on what I can play. I wish I could play like Aion or something.

- I hate Runescape, but the only reason I play is because I have nothing else to do.

 

That was the most depressing thing I've ever read on Sythe. Get a job if you can!

I'm selling my accounts to quit runescape lol. Seems like an easier way, you won't have the patience to train again.
