R2Pleasent banned this person for an attempt to scam, I thought it wasn't actually enough proof to get them banned.

Great job by R2Pleasent, I think they should be an admin 0_o.

Not to be a big downer, but why you guys keep making these threads puzzles me.

It's consistency that matters, not when a moderator/admin does a few reports reports. It's obviously a start, but generally the amount of work it takes to do a page isn't much. You should be congratulating those who do reports on a regular basis(ie Sin666, Chase, SuF and a couple others).

 

This. Making a thread for just one scammer report (not saying R2Pleasent is lacking other positive merits) seems like just a way to suckup...

He made a good call. Just nothing revolutionary here...

 

I wouldn't jump to such conclusions just because of 1 report. There are others that do an amazing job, such as HeavenLord, Sin666, MegaMatt, and others. As one they all work towards one goal, which keeps this establishment in-tact.

I don't get it.. all he did was ban someone because a member submitted evidence. Why is he being commended for this? If anyone should, the person who made the report should have a thread.

When I see Sin666, Chase, Suf and a few others doing a good job, i'll congratulate them, until then i'll stick with my current method.

 

although it is a mods responsibility to do certain things, it is nice to receive feedback for what you do. i'm pretty sure most people don't like doing things without being gratified for a job well done.

 

Saying he deserves admin after one report may be a bit of an exaggeration, but there's no reason why users should only recognize the mods who do something the "most"; ie, just because Chase, Suf, and I do reports doesn't mean a user can't also recognize/thank R2p for his contributions. Yes, sustained activity is important (and is something we consider during promotions), but positive feedback can go to anyone.

 

Keep up the good work then R2Pleasent.

My favorite mod's where Benwise and Sin666, often times I see their post's in multiple threads whether its Disputing an infraction/ban, or helping some one who was scammed or reported a spammer. Even closing topics here and there.

No offense intended, but I think there are other people who "should" get admin before R2Pleasent.

Yep, this isn't a competition, I know there are many mods out there, like Sin, who are doing a great job. I am also not looking for Admin, and I agree there are many more deserving candidates out there if we needed a new one! I think we should keep the positive energy flowing here, compliments are always appreciated, and all mods on Sythe are providing a service to the community which should be applauded.
