Common sense would be to not post the time in this thread, but some poeple seem to forget that Jagex can check other threads and crossfire them, just like they have hammered other people by identifying those who try to sell their RID botted accounts.

Yes all I did was try to bot (On windows 7, I guess it didn't work)
Logged off and logged back in to find I was banned
No I've never used any other bot

I'm not blaming you, I'm just saying it's interesting how that happened

pplscareme, I just wanna point out a couple of things...

    1) you told me I got it wrong when I pulled your file and saw you never got a single pizzaz point on the account - now, after I double check, you admit it and change story.

    2) Something else I know, doesn't add up with your new story... weeks passed between your last login to the bot, and reporting the ban... I haven't seen your ban, so idk what date it was (or even what it was for)... so the new story 'I logged in with the bot, then tryed to log in straight after and was banned' is not true - unless you show me the date of your ban AND it matches the date of your login to the bot, I have on record...

It's annoying because I investigate every ban report, but it's obvious this one isn't serious, I'm just making it clear out exactly why I'm ignoring your report...

You've talked about RSbot in post history. Looks like you are trying to scare ppl with your ban stories... not the other way round. My conclusion, is your ban couldn't possibly be RiD related (reasonable when you never botted on the account with our bot)... and a lot of your info has been dodgy... so please... there's nothing I can learn from this, I'd appreciate if you keep it off the thread.

Zach, I know you got banned using RSbot a while back (http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=618964)... even if it's on a throw away account, Jagex flag your main. Once Jagex know you like to bot, the MTA is not 100% safe (see guideline 4)... it's known, you were in breach of guideline 4, BUT also unlucky, to be online the only two days the past 4 months Jagex have attacked RiD members (14th+15th Oct).

Krew, it's safe to bot on any account with RiD provided you stick to guidelines. Nobody who followed the RiD guidelines has ever been banned, and MT4 has been online over a year.

Robotz in Disguise seems amazing. Were there any members banned using this at all?

Yes, around 15 accounts were banned, not because rid, because theyre owners stupidity breaking the guidelines. In my case I got comboed by playtime and macro history. Bot is undetectable if you play by the rules.

undetectable? i might feel better using rsbot because these dont get more than 100-500 points for me any time i use it. at least rsbot can solve randoms :( dont get me wrong, i love this and im not going to rsbot but it would just be so much better if the randoms were solved.

There have been 15 bans in total, in 2009. The last three of which were on 15th Oct - guideline 4 breaks. (All 3 got detected and banned from RSbot, then used RiD without following the steps to remove macro history in guideline 4). Sorry to hear your appeal got denied Zach.

RiD isn't just software... it's a system. With all due respect to Zach and the other 14 this year... It doesn't call the integrity of our system into question, when somone who wasn't following it gets banned.

The RiD system has a clean record... no player following RiD guidelines has ever been banned.

Perc, since Feb there is also a rate of random events which is different for each player. The rate at which you get randoms depends on how skillfully you've been solving them. I get a random once every 3 days or so, (equates to once every 18-24 hours)... If you start solving more randoms, you'll encounter them less often, you can also use the random event alarm, but I'll concentrate on coding more solutions in the near future.

So your connected to the internet via wireless? If so, turn your internet router off for a night, But be sure to log your IP so you know if it changed or not.

In the morning or whatever turn the router back on and check your ip address.

Sometimes you can do it in 3-6 hours but I always waited a whole night to change it.

If you have a dynamic IP, you should be able to change your IP address by switching your modem off and on again. If it is a static IP, it's near impossible to change your IP. I'm surprised your ISP wouldn't change your IP at your request..

My ISP wouldnt change it but they told me to turn it on and off. And if you had a static you would know, they charge extra. Just turn it off and leave it off for 12+ hours

    1. Turn off router so you cannot access the interent.
    2. Watch movie and eat popcorn
    3. Sleep for 12 hours
    4. Wake up, turn internet on
    5. Check to see if you have new IP.
    6. If successful, enjoy. If not try again.
