PayPal.. Negative Balance.

It shouldn't matter too much. I've had over 4 paypal accounts which have been sent into negative credit (Sometimes up to $100) due to chargebacks. If paypal are going to be so stupid and allow people to chargeback money so easy, why should i restore my balance?

Nothing has happened, and it's been over 6 months, don't worry too much.

 

Basically the best option they could come up was, I have to call them and give them a credit card which they can bill.

They said it's fine if I just buy a pre-paid card and use that because of my situation.

So, if this dispute is lost that's what'll happen I guess.

 

Feren, you should only do that if they threaten you constantly. Don't give in so easily

 

You can still receive money can't you? Try getting another person to pay off your debt on your limited one.

 

Don't worry about it. They sent me a letter once for a neg balance and I threw it away. 2 years later nothing.

 

Yeah i had the same problem, i was in debt 87$.

i just left it since it wasnt my fault and i wasnt willing to pay anything.

couple of days later NRA starts calling my house consistently threatening me with law suits and shit.

I just didn't want my credit history to be compromised, so i just went to my local bank, and payed it off.

its still in limited use,
i cant use it, but its not in debt..

 

Call paypal with your main account, say that a friend owed you money, and he sent it to your old paypal. And you sent it to that paypal. Then say that you owed another friend of yours, and you sent it to him.

They will say in 180 days they will release the funds to you.

If you have negative balance, nothing will happen to your bank. As I've been negative in my paypal accounts for a while for the same reason.

The reason you got limited, as well as your other friend. Was because Paypal noticed the money being transferred from 3 different paypal accounts in under 10 minutes.. That's being "suspicious"

 

Is the paypal account under your REAL name?
If it is, then might as well pay it to protect your credit.

If it isn't, don't even bother. Just leave it, make a new paypal, and change your banking info if you linked a bank account.
