    Sale of "Legit/Trusted" Steam Accounts

I think that any sale of a "legit" steam account by someone claiming to be trusted should automatically be closed/infracted. First of all, a steam account being sold for 3$ is never going to be legit. Secondly, when a person puts "I am not responsible for anything that happens to this account after it has been sold." in the thread of which they are selling the account, that is an automatic red flag that the steams will be recovered/have been phished.

There have been many disputes about this, not just with steam, but mainly RS. I doubt that they will install a rule which disallows people to do so, but I do agree it's difficult when some are misled by fallacious claims. You just have to be smart about who you deal with and review their credentials whether they be positive or negative.

No. Then he bought an account from the right buyer.
You can buy from phishers or you can buy from trusted sellers. Why would people vouch trusted sellers if they accounts got recovered? Because they vouch just after a trade? Sure, but why don't they delete/edit the post then? People don't vouch if they had a bad trade.

There is no reason for a change in the Steam Account Sales section.

OP, there are many ways to recognized a phished account before you buy it. There are many questions you can ask the seller and info you can ask the seller to provide. If you need any tips let me know.

Both Gansta and Xel have valid points, but I just went through the top 5 threads of steam sales under the steam section and all had "I am in no way responsible for the account after it is sold due to hacking/account retrieval." Regardless if you are a legit seller of steam accounts that dont get retrieved, and have been vouched, they are still phished (STOLEN) accounts.

You just need to be smart. When ther is an account for sale for $2 most of the time it will be phished. Most people should know this and buying it your taking the risk as you should already know its not 'legit'.

I understand that is why theyre sold for 2-3 dollars, I stated that multiple times before in the thread. The whole point im trying to get at is regardless if the Sythe member is trusted, if it only costs 2-3 dollars, or if the seller is legit and has a ton of vouches, the accounts being sold are stolen. Plain and simple. For someone to make a profit off of stolen accounts of which half are recovered, should not be allowed on Sythe.

yeh buts its proveing weather they are stolen or no maybe they are just selling them at a low price becuse they cba to play . like i got sold a rs account which is level 110 for $20 and have had it over a year now . so your point is completely not valid.

When you sold the RS account did you put in the thread where you sold it "I am in no way shape or form responsible if this account gets recovered/banned?" Probably not. Like I said, not all peoples accounts are phished, but more than 80% are.

You have to consider WHY steam accounts get disabled.
The problem is many of us who sell steams get them disabled regardless since it's against the ToS and many idiots put more than one email or buy stolen accounts, etc. There's a full list of how you can get your account disabled in my guide.

As for retrieved, I some cases its more as a precaution against claims of "retrieval." Generally someone who can provide proof of him/her being logged out etc by a retrieval can get a refund.

When I used to trade not long ago, I used to sell steam accounts for 3 dollars each. I've built up my trust from that too.

    Hello.

I have bought a steam account in eBay, and I have paid a few hours ago.
I don't know sell-buy steam accounts was illegal, and I have found this forum later.
I don't understand why eBay permits selling steam accounts, if it's illegal...

    What could I do??

    Thanks in advantage and regards.

    PD: i'm from Spain

Honestly I don't think any account in that section is legitimately obtained as the prices are way too low. There is a very low chance that the account was originally the seller's and if it wasn't, then it was purchased from someone else or phished. That is why CD Keys/gifts cost so much compared to steam accounts. All this being said, there is no way to know if someone's accounts were surely phished or not. I would just recommend not buying any steam accounts if you want to stay safe.

I do agree with you on one part though. If a person says they are not responsible for it once it is sold, their thread should be closed and infracted.

As for people claiming they're legit and trusted, this should be prohibited everything, but sadly it is not. Many people get scammed this way because anyone can claim that they're trusted when they are not. This simply attracts more customers, especially if your thread title is [TRUSTED] Selling shit [/TRUSTED]
