Whats with Sony

ok, so recently (like last night) my ps3 got the "yellow light of death".I look on the fourms and find out that i need to ship it in to get it fixed and had to pay $150 if I dont have a warrenty. So I searched and found the warrenty,and I find that it's only good for 1 year.I'm like wtf? Xbox get's a 3 year warrenty for hardware failure and ps3 gets only 1 year? I dont see how that's fair since I paid almost tripple of what the Xbox 360 costs to get a warrenty thats not even half of the 360.Now im sitting here,plans already messed up for my day off work since its raining,and now I cant even play Cod4 because of this......sigh Sony is really fuckin wit their customers

Anyways its your fault you didn't even check when its going to expire. Anyways my Dads home insurance cover's electrical goods. think about getting common sence instead of ranting about not being able to play COD4

My friends PS3 recently broke as well, he's had it since the day it was released. First problem he has EVER had with it.

Had you gotten a shitbox360, no doubt you would've have encountered problems within the first 2 months.

 

I bought my Xbox 360 day of release and didn't have a single problem until January 09. That's 3 and a half years no issues.. Now, I probably will never have red rings. The new jasper motherboard eliminates it pretty much.

Have you ever thought of it like that? The PS3 is only about $100 more expensive but has all those benefits.

Now you're complaining that their 1-year warranty? I'm surprised they even managed to afford to provide a warranty with all that they do..

Almost all products have a 1 year warranty. You can also get a 3 year warranty for like $20 if you buy it from stores like target or best buy.

Failure rate of the xbox 360 is MUCH higher than that of the PS3.
I don't know any 360 owners who haven't had a RROD. Not one.
That's the reason why the warranty was extended on the 360.
