People thinks it's 999mil, is retarded private server players.

They choosed 2147mil or w/e because there is only that such a amout of java..that's the max.

 

All you have to do to change it to over 9000trillion is change the the "ints" to "longs"... Not that hard... Would take... Um... 5 minutes? Maybe 10 more to integrate it? lol.

i just quoted what J-mod gerhard said. We dont think it is needed to increase the max amount of cash you can get.

You could also just add a new int stating that 1bill gp = 1bp
and if 1bp = -1gp = 999mill.

Jagex uses "ints", which can only handle numbers ranging from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647.

If Jagex ever switches to the socalled longs or even floats or doubles, we're gonna deal with a hell lotta bugs and crashreports the first couple of weeks. The very very max number that Java can handle up to date is using doubles, which gives you the possibility to get up to 1.79769313486231570E+308 GP, which ofcourse is an unthinkable pile of money that even 500 Chessys can never, ever get together.

But in general, nobody gets or needs the current 2.147B max cash for anything but showing off. No way Jagex will ever take a big risk for the 10 people that care about the current max amount of cash. It's useless and therefor stupid to implent it at this moment.

On the other hand, I believe Jagex could ever come in a position where they'll be forced to switch all of their "ints" to "longs". All players get richer every day, so how long will it take that 100M will be considered as "not that much"? If they ever need to switch their max, I'm sure they're very capable to do so. I mean, they even have their own language inside Java, called RuneScript, for their staff that don't know anything about Javascript.

like i explained in my other post you dont need to change itns to longs to pass max cash.
You just make a new int and ones the Gp int reaches 1bill it adds +1 to the new int when a player goes below under the old int it -1s one from the new int.

 

Chessy018 has roughly 35Billion coins worth of items. She had 6 piles of max cash and started to buy out santas when they were 12M, she has raised them to around 30M by herself and has over 1000 santas.

You can have over the trade the price limit in items noted in your inventory. You just can't put them all into the trade window with someone.
