    Lol, Pirate Bay has gone down countless amounts of times. They always bounce right back, my guess is that it'll be back within a day or two! :)

    To be honest I don't even use bittorrent that much any more; I mostly only download anime and doujinshii, which is acchieved a lot easier on the Japanese Filesharing network known as "Share!".

    Still, I liked some of the shit they did.

    If you're not selling your music to people, then why should it be illegal? It's confusing. Why shut down piratebay when they could shut down something like limewire. Limewire everybody knows of, even the authorities, and it's been around forever. Why not shut that down?

    Because 'Limewire' isn't something that can be shut down. It's a peer-to-peer network (the Gnutella network).

    The Pirate Bay is a website openly condoning and assisting piracy. Something entirely different.

    And how many people download things legally from torrent sites? Sure, some. Not many. Not many at all.
